Dr. Ken doesn't want to treat patients without cause. He believes in being aggressive during the treatment plan and then maintaining our bodies thereafter. Doesn't integrity speak for itself? A doctor who isn't driven by money is a special doctor, indeed! At the beginning of my treatment, about a year ago, I lacked passion. I have encountered holistic physicians who are willing to treat the whole person throughout my life but have only been able to obtain to a certain point of feeling the trust required between patient and provider. I believe I may not be the toughest case but am in the middle: my mind, body, and spirit all needed treatment, and what's just as important is the healing process. My husband and children are seemingly more or less standard chiropractic cases, adjustments are always beneficial for them; they have fewer layers. The Activator Technique is gentle and for those of us who don't prefer to be snapped and cracked at every appointment, the Expert Activator Technique is much, much less traumatizing than traditional methods. Without reluctance or arrogance, Dr. Ken and Candace embraced the challenges my person and body presented, and with insightful approaches, patience, acceptance, technique, and suggestions I began to see, feel, and trust their genuine, loving characters. They offer honest opinions to better their patients and do so with warm energy. For example, the hair and saliva test they promote resulted in detoxing remedies. After ingesting the remedies for several weeks, Dr. Candace encouraged me to take a break from chiropractic adjustments and take time to experience acupuncture. That turned out to be an excellent idea. My body's channels were blocked and not permitting the remedies to work properly. The remedies were felt at a much more effective level after acupuncture and I began to detox as intended. Lastly, I want to note, a special strength I've consistently noticed in Dr. Candace and Dr. Ken. Dr. Candace has the ability to find the best. Whether it is materials she and/or her patients need, foods to feed her family (she'll share her sources), alternative healthcare to treat her family or patients, supplements, resources to improve the business, her husband, etc. my list goes on in my head. She is extremely well-spoken and intelligent, she takes time to speak to her patients with grace and kindness, she makes wonderful and admirable decisions. She's one of my role models. Dr. Ken: He has the God-given talent to precisely target areas within the body with the slightest touches. I believe he has an intrinsic ability to connect with his patients with great attention to detail on a profound level! I'm a huge fan of this small family practice, which I've been seeing regularly since I found them in July. The huge benefit to this approach is that their office has essentially no back-of-house staff. If you need to call or email them, you'll reach one of the doctors directly--no runaround. And by not employing anyone to handle front desk phone calls or billing issues, they keep their costs to the patient very low. Finally, I love that my visits to them are FAST. The initial intake appointment, when they're getting a feel for your health, your posture, and what treatment you need, takes a little longer. But after that, I've rarely been there longer than 15 minutes in total (including treatment time). Half the time when I walk in there's zero wait at all and they treat me immediately.
