I highly recommend this dental office. I came in with severe wisdom tooth pain. Dr. Tran was the only one who could see me on such short notice. Once he saw my x-rays, he told me he could remove the tooth the same day if I would like. I was overwhelmed with happiness cause other offices would have booked me days or weeks later. Their prices are also reasonable. I have no insurance. The scammers at Western Dental wanted to charge me 3x the amount for a wisdom tooth extraction i paid for at this location. came here because it was the only dentist that could see me on such short notice. I was in so much pain from molar #2 that was an already treated root canal from several years ago, and several of places I've called all told me I need a "specialist" for either re-treat or extraction and then the insurance would take time to kick in. I was in complete agony!! So This was the last place I called and they were able to book me in quickly. The front desk girls were very nice. I was called in within 5 minutes!! 👍🏻 The dentist came and examined me and explained everything and all my options, he was very nice and very understanding, since it wasn’t worth “trying to save” the tooth by re-treating it, I decided to get it extracted (I thought he was going to say I need a specialist) but he was able to extract it there and that time. A lot was kinda a tough molar to pull out, he was super patient with me and gentle throughout the process. The office and back are very clean and a nice modern environment with lots of plants 🪴 around a relaxing atmosphere. I stopped bleeding from the tooth by evening time and it was a speedy recovery for me. I’m thankful I found this little gem dentist. I had my 6 month check up today at Downey Smiles. Front desk staff greeted me with a good morning and a big smile. Norma helped me with my X-rays and teeth polishing. She was so nice and helpful. Dr. Tran explained that he would do a deep cleaning and recommend a treatment that would help my gums. It was easy and painful. We caught up with some great conversation. Found this dentist by accident. I thought I was booking the Downey Smile Center down the street my boyfriend previously went to. But boy am I glad I booked the wrong one. Only dentist I’ve ever been too that made me feel truly comfortable. They focus on making sure you aren’t in pain and that is a first from me for a dentist. You can tell they care for their patients and take pride in doing their job well. Usually my dentist are rough and rushing and it is a terrible experience. I hate dental appointments. I will avoid and have avoided the dentist since covid. BUT... from the 1st phone call with them I felt at ease, heard, & greeted. 1st interacted with Julie, she is sweet & informative when I asked her any questions regarding insurance. Great experience Dr.Dalai did my check up and cleaning was very gentle. Very honest I was told by my old dentist that I had a cavity he check and said it was just a stain.He change an old filling and I didn't even feel the shot. Front staff friendly and back staff too. The office has the latest technology, it's very clean with contemporary decor. Dr. Stucken and staff office are courteous, helpful and passionate to ones need. He's a no nonsense professional man. He will explain the necessary treatment or referral to another specialist. Short wait (5 mins. -15 mins.) duration unless prior patient arrives late then it would have a domino effect to the rest of the pstients. I particularly like the procedures of cleaning and scaling of my teeth. He accepts insurance. Clean teeth and fresh breath, it gives me happy smiles. Thank you. Less
