To no surprise, Isla offers outstanding food and spectacular service, all complemented by a phenomenal atmosphere. During my visit, I enjoyed the Puerto Rican lasagna served over Puerto Rican fried rice, and it was delicious. I’ll be sure to stop by again.

A great improvement under new management!I visited last year and thought it was just okay, but I went back yesterday and really enjoyed my meal! You can definitely tell there’s been a positive change. We tried a little bit of everything, and most of it was delicious!🧀 Queso frito con guava sauce – AMAZING! The sweet guava sauce paired perfectly with the fried cheese.🍲 Sancocho – So delicious and comforting! It also came with a giant toston, which was a great bonus.🍤 Shrimp ceviche with tostones – The shrimp were juicy and plump, and the pickled onions added such a refreshing touch.🍗 Mofongo with pollo – Very tasty and, most importantly, NOT dry! The chicharrones mixed into the mofongo gave it an extra boost of flavor and texture.🍚 Arroz mamposteado – Packed with flavor! Definitely a must-try.🍢 Pinchos de pollo con congri – The chicken was juicy, and the rice was flavorful. A really good combination!🫓 Arepa con ropa vieja – This was the only dish that didn’t completely win me over. The arepa itself was good and tasty, but the shredded beef was a little dry.Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and genuinely enjoyed our experience! Almost everything we tried was delicious, and I’m glad I gave this place another chance. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. ❤️

ISLA was the perfect spot for great food and walkable from where were staying in Syracuse. JJ took great care of us, made sure we were comfortable, and was the perfect host. Will stop again when in the area. Cubano, yuca fries, and Arepas Rellenas were very good and filling 😋

It was an absolute delight dining at Isla. My wife and I ordered the pork belly appetizer and it was amazing. Should've stopped there to be honest as that alone made us full. For main courses, we had the fried tomahawk pork chop and Luis fried rice that comes with chicken, pork and steak. We're going to have leftovers for days and looking forward to it as everything was delicious. Then the service.... Kenny was training JJ and both of them were so friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. Food alone will have us come back, but the service will make us definite repeat customers. Great job Isla!
