Very happy with Ben. I gave him a long list of odd electrical jobs that needing doing in our house and he did in one day what would’ve taken me many days to learn and complete, plus the tools to do it. Reasonable rates and worked efficiently….totally worth getting him in. He’s well-mannered, happy to answer questions or explain things, and makes you feel really at ease. Would recommend him to anyone. He relocated sockets, switches, and light fittings for us. Also made safe some old connectors. We are planning to use him again in future. Update March 2025 Our second time using Ben and he was just as reliable, efficient, tidy and courteous as the first time round. Again we gave him a laundry list of sockets and light fittings and switches that needed replacing, chasing into walls, and adding in electrics for outdoor lights. He advised us on some issues we weren’t sure of how to solve, including saving us from a costly mistake with our bathroom refit. Again the quality of the work is brilliant. He did a lot of chasing in for us from skirting boards to walls and kindly did the primary repairs for the holes which was very appreciated. I have just recommended Ben to everyone I know as he deserves to be booked and busy.

Ben completed a few small electrical jobs at our new home in Portishead. Ben was professional throughout, his quote was very reasonable and his communication was top notch (unusual for a trades person!). We knew exactly how much the work would cost and when it was going to be done. Ben was a very tidy worker and even put up with our nosy dog who took a shine to him. Ben came out to assess putting in a new car charger for me, made some recommendations and gave me what I considered to be a very reasonable quote and could also do the job relatively quickly. He sent me an email the day before he was scheduled to do the work letting me know what time he'd arrive. He arrived bang on time and despite the fact that it was raining quite heavily (and I gave him the option of rescheduling) got straight to work. He did a great job installing the charger and explaining how it all worked. I would definitely recommend him and will definitely be using him for other electrical work as needed.

I needed the electrics checked on a property being purchased and Ben at Flickaswitch was able to do an inspection for me really quickly. He provided a full report on the safety of the electrics within 2 days of him carrying out the checks. He is very reliable and he doesn't rip you off with huge invoices for his work. Would highly recommend him.
