The property is more of a bed and breakfast than a traditional hotel. The wellness centre is quite small, consisting of a sauna, jacuzzi and gym. I was disappointed to find that using the sauna and jacuzzi incurred an additional £20 charge. Although this may have been mentioned somewhere on the booking page, given the overall cost of the stay, I would have expected these facilities to be included in the price. My room was located at the top of four or five flights of stairs, which could be an issue for some guests. The room itself was quiet and comfortable, but the furniture and television were dated and could benefit from an upgrade. Breakfast cost £33, which I found surprisingly expensive. There was also no restaurant open in the evening, which limited the dining options available at the property. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was very good. Overall, while the stay was comfortable, I felt that some aspects did not represent the best value for money, particularly the additional charges for the wellness facilities and the cost of breakfast. | Liked: cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities

We booked a twilight wedding at Hadley back in April for October. 6 months was a fast turn around but the team were so supportive across the whole of the short planning period and were always at the other end of an email or phone call. The wedding day itself was just incredible. Both of the rooms were set up so beautifully and really made the day feel special. The ceremony and evening was structured so perfectly. Every single one of our guests have sung the praises of the day itself, the venue and wedding as a whole. This speaks for itself.....the way in which all of the staff members were able to pull all of the right strings exactly when it was needed throughout the day, ease our nerves and provide such a memorable and positive experience. A masterful showcase in the hospitality books and professionalism at its finest. A 10/10 wedding for the 10/10/2026. A day we and our guests will never forget. Thank you so much to all of the team at Hadley Park ♥️

We attended for afternoon tea for my mom's 70th birthday. The whole booking process was easy and on the day I was able to arrive earlier to decorate. All staff were friendly and attentive and the afternoon tea was delicious! We were so happy with how the room had been set up and we had the added bonus of having it to ourselves! We had a great time!

WOW! WOW! WOW! If you’re looking for a place to get married Hadley Park Hotel is the place to do it! Our day could not have gone any better, the staff were incredible, accommodating for anything we needed- nothing was too much and amazing with our children on the day. The venue itself-the decor was breathtaking, the grounds were beautiful and secure for our children to run around and play safely and the bedrooms were lovely, clean and spacious. The reception meal- the system of serving food and cleaning up was so effective and the food itself was delicious- all of our guests commented how insane it was. And finally our evening reception- the DJ knew the crowd and the music was on point! The dance floor was NEVER empty. The cake was beautiful and the evening buffet was also lovely! And to top it off our entertainment was our fireworks which were sensational! A massive hit with everyone! We had THE MOST INCREDIBLE day and we wish we could do it all over again. Thank you to all the staff at Hadley Park, you were all incredible, polite, professional, caring and all went above and beyond on our special day- if it wasn’t for all of you our day wouldn’t have gone as smoothly as it did. We will definitely be back soon! X

Parking available at the rear of the property was a little tight for space but we managed to park a large car fairly easily. Our little getaway to York greeted us with a friendly staff at a lovely hotel. Our spacious room held a nice surprise of a marble mantle fireplace. There was sufficient wardrobe space for a 2 night stay, more than enough if you plan your outfits. We enjoyed a couples massage but didn’t take advantage of the gym or hot tub. Breakfast was delish, whether you just want cereal or are after a Full English. The fresh out of the oven pain au chocolate was scrumptious! For our first trip to York, we were pleased at how close and direct it was to The Shambles (as a reference point for you). We look forward to our next visit!!

A fabulous guest house! My wife and I stayed for a week at the end of September 2026. Our room was very nice. The breakfast was extensive with incredible service! I cannot say enough about how friendly and accommodating the entire staff was. 10 out of 10. Will happily stay here again.

😀 - It was all pretty perfect! The room had everything we needed. There was parking. Short work to the centre and the added bonus of being able to get a spa treatment with a ridiculous cost just topped it off. 😞 - Our room was on the top floor so there were a couple of flights of stairs to climb. No big issue though.
