Let me start off by saying I’ve never enjoyed dealing with and having to talk to insurance companies and agents. Who does right? I practically despised it. After my last company and agent tried to shoehorn in a bunch of extras including coverage for a Jetski I do not own and $1 million dollar personal liability, I was fuming. Did they think I wouldn’t notice my premium was set to increase over $1,000 the world may never know as I certainly will never be speaking to them after cancelling today.Meanwhile… unbeknownst to me, out there in this world a man named Bill Doran was running an agency. My first interaction with Diamond Guard began with a Miss Kaylee Bentley. Charismatic, entertaining and personable. She was extremely transparent as we walked through my old, exploitative policy and she built my new policy through Allstate. She took the time to teach me what the terms meant and had me laughing and smiling. At one point I told her about my former agent and she said “drop the [name redacted cause I’m not getting sued] and ride with a Bentley” without missing a beat. BAR. Was I enjoying building an insurance policy? Could such madness exist? It most certainly can.From there, once my policy was active I had the pleasure of speaking with Rose Moczygemba (don’t worry I don’t know how to pronounce it either; forgive me Rose!). I had missed her call and after a few rounds of phone tag we got a hold of each other today.I must take the time for an aside; the receptionist who directed my call answered “Hey hey it’s a great day at Allstate how can I help you?” BAR. I digress.Rose and I then walked through the confirmation of my policy and Rose stayed on the line with me to cancel my old policies for auto and home. Once again, a wonderful individual with an actual personality. A human being I could relate to and who could relate to me.Mr. Doran: you (or whoever does the hiring) keep it up. This place clearly exhibits to me a wonderful culture of people truly helping people. Not vultures. Actually calling my former agency a vulture is an insult to vultures (sorry vultures!). Did I want to make yall laugh throughout this review? Yes. Are my sentiments about Diamond Guard and the fantastic team over there genuine and sincere? 100%.But let’s get to what y'all really want to know. How much did I save? I’ll be saving nearly $1,500 a year by switching to Allstate (and have BETTER coverage). You know how many times I’ve seen those commercials? And now here I am spitting that same line.
