My 15 years old daughter went to Westmead children’s emergency hospital on Friday evening after her ear drum ruptured and need to see urgent audiologist. They suggested to see an audiologist immediately to rule out few concerns. I recently took my 87 year old mum to see the Leena, principal audiologist at New Sound Hearing. Leena was absolutely brilliant! Not only was she respectful, patient and kind but she gave mum almost 2 hours of her time, assessing her hearing needs thoroughly and professionally. Mum was relaxed and did not feel rushed.Leena took into account the language barrier, the loss of hearing and mum's age into consideration before making her professional recommendations.Leena did not push the sale of any product but in fact, focused on mum's comfort, budget and care needs, with an opportunity to try different hearing aids prior to any financial commitment.Leena brought into play her extensive experience in the area of audiology to assess mum's hearing. She explained the subsequent audiology report to mum in easy to understand words. Leena ensured mum understood how best to use her hearing aids and left mum feeling positive and confident.Leena was previously based in a suburb closer to our home but I have no hesitation in visiting her at Pemulwuy which is much further for me. I have had tinnitus for many years, and my local GP provided a referral to New Sound Hearing, to see if hearing aids would be of benefit.During my working life, I worked for 33 years in an organisation that provides hearing aids to clients, but most of my time was as an Acoustical Consultant. So, I knew the technical side of hearing aids, and what to expect.During my first meeting with Leena Kothari from New Sound Hearing, I mentioned my work experience and knowledge, and from then on, we had a technical bond.I certainly can say that the initial hearing test was first class. It included all of the clinical practices I was expecting. After my tests, a pair of hearing aids were selected and adjusted to suit my results and needs. The aids were then given to me for a trial period to allow me to 'get used to' the aids. I was prescribed hearing aids that had a tinnitus therapy mode and I found this worked well for me.I have now purchased hearing aids from New Sound Hearing and I wear them almost every day. They are a great benefit to me socially and at home.I'm also experiencing excellent after sales service.I certainly would recommend New Sound Heraring to anyone.

Right from our first meeting, we could tell that Leena is a very experienced audiologist and has a vast knowledge of all the aspects that can affect your hearing. She was very patient with us seniors and took quite a deal of time to explain how our hearing system works and then all the results of our hearing tests (which were extensive) without us feeling rushed in any way. My wife was initially fitted with temporary hearing aids which were specially programmed by Leena to suit her hearing loss and she was encouraged to test them out for a number of weeks to ascertain their effectiveness before purchasing her own hearing aids. There was no sign of Leena pushing us to have hearing aids just for the sake of a sale. In addition, my wife has suffered with Vertigo in the past and she was also checked for possible causes due to her hearing as it was explained to us that your hearing can have a negative effect on your overall balance.We found Leena to be genuine in her approach and work ethics and are convinced that she is one of the rare professionals who puts the needs of the customer before her own. I received a flyer in my letterbox from New Sound Hearing and decided to go and visit the clinic. Leena greeted me as I walked in and I was impressed by her professionalism and kindness towards me and then I knew I came to the right place. I told Leena my hearing was slowing getting worse and she suggested I have a hearing test and lets do it now.She proceeded to carry out an in-depth test and then told me my low and midrange hearing was ok, but, my hi- range was very poor. I then realised why I couldn't hear some words clearly, when having a conversation. I needed to get hearing aids ASAP ! Leena gave me a range to consider and told me,in detail, the difference between them. 2 days later they arrived and Leena fitted and adjusted the settings for me and I was so happy I could hear the high pitch sounds again. What a difference it's made for me and was all so easy with Leena's expertise guiding me all the way.I highly recommend going to see Leena, if your hearing is not as good as it used to be, and wish to visit an Audiologist. With over 20 years experience, Leena was, and still is courteous and professional in helping me with my hearing aids. I am so grateful to her.

My GP specifically wanted me to see Leena because my hearing and head/ear pressure & tinnitus had caused me great concern & intense discomfort.
