I just had the most amazing all you can eat Indian buffet that was soooo good that I’m embarrassed to say I was almost crying for joy. Being originally from NYC, everywhere else I have sampled in the Capital region so far has been mediocre to bad to just plain overpriced until one of my roommates recommended Karavalli. What impressed me the most was the variety of dishes they offered most of which were vegetarian but then they also had a few non-vegetarian options like curry goat and chicken biriyani. The chicken tandoori was a little dry but every Indian restaurant I have ever tried, the chicken tandoori was dry. They also serve you some fresh naan at your table. For dessert they have an impressive variety of chutneys, rice pudding plus other offerings like salads. After doing some research on ChatGPT I understand the only Indian buffet restaurants are offered at lunch time only. But honestly this restaurant has made me feel a lot more optimistic about my recent move to this region.
