I had a fairly complicated surgical case and from the initial consultation to the actual surgery, follow up visits and beyond, the experience was fantastic. Today's dental visit was probably the most pleasant one I've had in over 50 years! Liz, my hygienist, was thorough, gentle, and patient with my hyper-sensitive teeth. Dr. Koli was soft-spoken and gentle as well, and suggested a prescription toothpaste for my overly sensitive teeth in addition to my continued use of Sensodyne. I highly recommend these two female practitioners. 😁

I went for my appointment today where I had to receive 2 root canals due to a softball injury. My first visit went very well. I was taken back within 15 minutes of my appointment. My hygenist, Thuy, clearly had read my new patient forms and understood that I have severe dental anxiety. The dentist that I was thankful for, belittled me and embarrassed me in front of the hygienist. Literally left the office in tears. Of course, I’m not a radiologist and I’m not trained in reading radiographs but After two second opinions, I was told my cavities were present before my braces were ever put on, this was very upsetting to hear. I went from loving this place to needing a new dentist. The chair-side manor, that day was nothing I ever experienced here but seeing your comment below, doesn’t surprise me. I live nearly an hour away after a few moves, but have no problem traveling for the excellent service. I have had many procedures done throughout the years, root canal, wisdom teeth removed, chipped tooth repair, cavities and night guard made. They all went so smoothly, painlessly and impressively fast. Special shout out for my dental hygienist and doctor I had yesterday. I expressed my concerns (this conversation was the week before surgery) and when I went in to sit at the table I literally cried because I was so nervous. I opted for an IV sedative instead and she said after our talk, she picked out a cocktail she thought I would like. I remember her telling me to relax, and I remember waking up towards the end of the surgery. She was literally holding my hand and monitoring my vitals the whole time. Everyone was giving me positive assurance that things were going wonderful and that I was doing great. Dr. Kaplansky was finishing up when I was becoming more conscious, and I didn’t feel a thing. I literally went from sobbing due to fear and anxiety to having an absolutely wonderful experience. I felt the staff cared more about making sure I was OK and comfortable than they were anything else. I definitely recommend getting wisdom teeth pulled at Dr. Kaplansky’s office.
