The previous tenants left us with at least 2 unusable outlets, broken switch and outlet plates, and exposed wires where they ripped out a car charger they had installed without notifying the landlord - who we are renting from now and had agreed to take on most of the renovation. With the state of the wires and one of the outlets, I was concerned that the house would've been one spark away from burning down. That's only a few things of what needed to be repaired. We also needed to change all the smoke and CO detectors in the two story house. We approached Bella with the challenging task of making these repairs and they went above and beyond what we had asked of them. When Kevin walked through the house, he walked through it with a vision and recommended lights that can be dimmed, offered to install a charger for our car instead of just repairing it for safety, and replaced all of our outlets and switches and installed modern plates. The process itself did get a bit tedious sometimes. For example, we asked if they can install our new thermostat, said yes, attempted to install it, turns out it doesn't work, and the old thermostat was thrown away. We had an A/C guy come in just before Bella attempted to install the new thermostat, and we had confirmed it was working before that - we had just wanted to update the thermostat itself. We were advised by Bella after the attempted installation to ask for this type of job from an A/C person rather than an electrician. Definitely a learning experience for first-time home renovators. I appreciate their earnest effort in trying to install it for us, but if this is a service they don't normally do, we would understand and preferred if they were upfront with not accepting this task. There were other moments of miscommunication and late/missed appointments, so I can see some truth in what a couple of other reviewers have experienced. But I want to highlight that this was a challenging project completed by a small team. We also ran into similar difficulties with other contractors who worked on the house, and for good reason - the house was an absolute mess and I understand that having to stay organized with all the jobs that needed to be done for the house from each contractor we hired was an absolute challenge. What Bella did was not easy and if we had to do it all over again, we would choose them. As long as the client maintains effective communication, they will do good by their clients. Overall, we are happy with Bella and the results. I feel safe in our own home knowing we have new smoke and CO alarms, there are no exposed wires or busted outlets, we're able to actually use the outlets, charge our car, and the dimmed lights make for romantic evenings at home. I'll come back and add more photos later to show the charger and how the dimmed lights look at night. I know this review is long overdue, but truly, thank you to Kevin and the work of his team. Less

Editing November 7: This company did come out the day I called (October 19) to install a 220v outlet in my new home for a dryer. The outlet was installed, but my dryer was not installed that day because I needed to install my washer. By the time my washer was installed and I plugged my dryer in for the first time (a week later, ) it did not turn on. At this point, I had wet laundry because we had already gone a week and a half without laundry and I was so sure the dryer outlet would work— it was just installed, why wouldn’t it? Well, I called Bella Electric to come back out and see what was wrong and took my laundry to a laundromat. The electrician came a few days after (Oct 29) and said a breaker just needed flipped (we had flipped all the breakers we could, so this was a shock). Once again, come the weekend and it was time to do laundry, the dryer again did not turn on. My significant other and I called the electrician who had come out and tried to flip the same breaker he said to flip and had showed me to flip when he came out, but the breaker was not moving. We scheduled another service appointment for today (Nov 7) between 12p-4p. At 3pm I received a message from Adrian requesting to move the appointment to Monday. Now, we have not done laundry in our new home since we moved in 3 weeks ago when they first installed this outlet and they have come out multiple times with no fix. I understand when something is a little tricky or understaffing happens, but then when expressing my concerns I was told to “Relax”. Very unprofessional. I have already called another electric company and we will likely be doing our laundry at a laundromat another week in a row despite paying $2k three weeks ago for them to install an outlet for my dryer. October 19: I am so grateful for this business; my electrician from another company canceled and I needed a stove hookup to eat and Bella Electric was able to come the same day I called and install the necessary outlets for both my stove and my new dryer— and didn’t charge me an arm and a leg for it, either! Bella came to my house to install my car charger and Kevin, my electrician, put together a very beautiful panel that immediately had power, cleaned up the work space in my garage without leaving behind any dust and wiring pieces on the floor, and as luck would have it the charger did not intially work. Given I was a brand new EV car owner, my knowledge was limited. Typical big brand, when I called the dealer, they quickly blamed the install without even knowing much about the situation. Unfortunately, they would require the car to come in, and told me it would be many days for them to troubleshoot while still blaming the install. My electrician Kevin was so confident in his lovely work AND was so bothered by the treatment I received that he brought me over a charger to not just prove his work, but so I could actually have a working charger for my car if I wanted to go to the dealer and pick it up.
