I have a Bichon named Pria and we live south of Fort Worth. She recently ran thru an accidentally open gate and my friends dog ran after her. They ran full speed across my busy street. My friend’s dog was hit and killed by a truck. Pria made it across which was a true miracle. I have not been able to train Pria not to run and chase so I heard about Lisa. I tried some 1 hour sessions and was very impressed with lisa and her skill training Pria. I’ve looked at Dallas Fort Worth training groups but I am driving 6 hours for Pria to do her 2 week board and train on Monday with Lisa because she is the best Anyone who is having trouble training their dog to keep them safe feel free to follow Pria’s progress over the two week course with Lisa!

I sent my dog, Raider, a lab/golden retriever mix to Lisa for her two week board and train program. He came back with focus and a foundation that I can build on over the next few weeks. I have been highly impressed with his mannerisms and obedience since his stay. Lisa is intentional with updates and feedback on your dog during its stay. She provided multiple detailed text messages on his progression and what I might need to focus on at home. Her social media videos have also helped me mimic his training once I brought him home. It was clear to me that Lisa isn’t only dedicated to your dog, she wants to help YOU learn as well. Her guidance has helped transition his training back into his home environment. I highly recommend Lisa and her team! I could not have picked a better trainer to send my pup to!

Lisa and Bobbie are AMAZING! I just picked up my girl, Tina, and she learned so much! After 2 weeks at Canyon K9 Training I have a basic foundation to build on! They are still always available for questions and any follow up needed! They never abandon you, they stay as a resource for life! I highly recommend them for any training needs!

Oliver—my 2 year old border collie mix—spent two weeks with Canyon K9 Training back in December. He learned fantastic focus and behavioral techniques and commands that, three months later, he still knows and obeys! I am able to bring him to work with me with full confidence in his training. Lisa and her team are great to work with and are intentional with posting updates of the dogs in their board and train program! Would absolutely recommend!

Fantastic resource for TX!!! We have visited Canyon K9 twice this year and are very pleased! They are attentative to your dog and monitor their comfort through out the day. The facility is clean, and very well kept. Just ask, they love showing new/prospective clients their facility! Add to that, Lisa & Gary are very kind. They are always willing to sit and hear about how they can help with boarding or training of your pet. And do not underestimate the value for your dollar and Canyon K9. Yes you can board your dog, but think about other things also!! Lisa can work with your dog to help solve some issues heeling, recall, or other bad mannerisms. Our boys love visiting from Kentucky when we are in Texas. Attached is a pic of Wolf.... look at how happy he is to be at Canyon K9!!! All smiles!!

Canyon K9 Training is the best!! I trust Lisa 100% with my dog, Aria. Lisa has helped me train her since she was 7 weeks old (and still to this day), and the training shows!! She was so knowledgeable and helpful about how to put Aria and I on the path to success.

Our big boy stayed with Lisa and Mirelly for 2 weeks. They did a fantastic job with him. His sit and downs are firmer and his stamina in the command is longer. His auto-stop/sit while on leash is an added bonus! He’s a big teddy bear and we love taking him out more. We are grateful that we get to enjoy him even more. We look forward to working with them in the future.

I have known Lisa and Gary for 10 + years and can honestly say that you’ll never run across more honest and trustworthy people. Lisa is dedicated to her animals and treats all animals with such an admirable kindness and compassion. She brings a fun energy to her training sessions and strives to focus on a client/ dogs individual needs as opposed to shoving extra training formulas onto a client where it’s not needed nor necessary. You won’t be disappointed with your interactions with Canyon K9 Training LLC! Aric Harris The Iron Canine LLC Frankfort, KY

Satii was a rescue. We had no idea what her previous life was like and we didnt feel comfortable trying to train a worki g dog. She is Super sweet but timid and having trouble behaving in the house. We did the one week course to get her basics inline. We saw such a good response from her. Even when we got home she didnt go crazy in the house and remembered why she was wearing a leash and collar and behaved and listened. I took Lisa’s advice and kept her on the leash whilr i made my lunch she laid down relaxed but paid attention to me to see what i wanted her to do next. In the past she would have been worries about if i was going to drop food or even sniffed counter tops. I am looking forward to working more with her now that she has the basic skills!

My sheepadoodle spent a week at Canyon K9 Training for a board and train. It’s been a month and our lives have changed due to the recall Lisa and her trainer instilled in our dog. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough about my experience with Lisa at Canyon K9 Training. I have developed such a great relationship with my pup because of Lisa's program. Purdy and I worked with Lisa through a series of 15 private lessons from 3 to 10 months. I'm taken back by how far Purdy has come. I quickly learned it was less about how much Purdy learned and much more about how much I learned. LOL! I now have this unbelievable high energy dog with terrific manners. I am most grateful for the off leash ability that Purdy and I developed through Lisa. I have always dreamed of a dog I could have off leash and trust to come when called. My ability to recall Purdy in any situation has taken my relationship with her to the next level. It is so darn fun! By no means is Purdy perfect, I still feel like there is a lot of room for improvement, but with Lisa's help I now have techniques and knowledge to build upon. Thanks Lisa!

Canyon K9 turned our sweet Aussie pup, Moose, into a little angel dog! They were so professional and kind and instead of just teaching Moose how to be a better dog, they taught us how to be better owners. We couldn’t recommend Lisa and Kimi at Canyon K9 more!!!

We boarded our Brittanys for a week with Lisa. They came home the perfect mix of tired and happy. Glad to have a place and people to trust with our fur kids while we go out of town.
