From the get go and initial enquiry Jonathan was absolutely fabulous. His attention to detail to help meet our senior rescue dog, Alaska's needs has been absolutely fabulous. Especially as at the time we hadn't had our dog for very long and in reality were only just getting to know her. The correspondence beforehand was detailed and thorough, outlining any photography preferences, alongside questions about Alaska. Jonathan clearly cares about the welfare of a dog - not just the photography. As our dog can be reactive occasionally, it was certainly an experience but actually Jonathan was so patient with Alaska from the get go and just so dog friendly that Alaska relaxed so quickly and we had no issues. As we had been working with a behaviourist at the time, we were able to use the photography session as an impromptu training session to continue building up Alaska's confidence in life situations and she came on leaps and bounds after the session with Jonathan. We've just received our digital images (awaiting some physical products too - but we have only just finalised payment, so it's fair enough 😅) and they are simply absolutely sensational. We used these photographs to announce on social media that we have decided to adopt Alaska (we were fostering with a view to adopt before). Of course... crediting and linking Jonathan in the process for the fabulous work. Can't sing our praises enough! Communication in the whole process has been amazing - even checking we were happy with the final edits as well! We will definitely continue to highly reccomend Jonathan to all our friends who own a dog. From start to finish he has been amazing, he doesn't just take great photos, but has the personality and brilliant customer service to go alongside his work as well. Had a fabulous experience the other week on a photoshoot with my two dachshunds. I wasn’t really sure what to expect but Jonathan really knew his stuff and the end result was wonderful. We chose Jonathan to photograph our three very elderly whippet boys knowing the images would probably be some of the last we would have of them. What we hadn’t anticipated was how true to their individual characters those images would be. From first contact to the day we collected our stunning prints Jonathan provided a friendly but professional service that put us and our dogs completely at ease … so much so that the dogs wandered about all over the studio investigating everything and yet Jonathan still managed to patiently capture a huge number of shots for us to choose from. We now recommend Jonathan to all our friends and will be visiting him again soon with our new rescue Galgo pup. Less

We had a great photo session with Jonathan at the end of February 2022, with our two working cockers! Prior to meeting, we were given the opportunity to detail what our dogs were like, and what we were hoping to get from the session. My two are safe & reliable off lead but otherwise are quite different: one is very capable of a “stay” for photos, is sociable, but doesn’t like being petted or other dogs close to his face (so needed to be away from out-of-control “friendly” dogs who might charge at him), and my other is just a wiggle-butt that struggles to stay still for photos! Jonathan assured me this was all very manageable. At the session Jonathan was super patient and understanding of both pups, and really worked to get the best out of them. He used various locations in the park, different lighting and had a bag of tricks up his sleeve (all positive) for managing the dogs’ positions. It was such a fun time! When we saw the photos I couldn’t help but get emotional, because he’d captured both dogs so beautifully. It was hard to know which to choose, but Jonathan was really helpful in directing to some of the best shots, and with selecting frames. Prior to the session, we’d been offered the chance to take snaps at home of where we’d like the photos to hang - this proved very useful when selecting framed picture sizes, so I highly recommend this to others. We now have three pics of our beloved spaniels hanging in pride of place at home - we love them. Our dogs just aren’t with us for long enough in life, and every moment they’re with us is a privilege. We had a wonderful day spent with Jonathan in March of this year, as he took lots of fabulous photographs of our Working Cocker Spaniel Charlie, where he was able capture her character & personality. The setting of the session is in a country park near his studio was a perfect place. We especially liked the viewing session, it made the whole day perfect and where we picked 2 of the photographs to be framed by him and they are wonderful. We would recommend that if you are looking to have photographs taken of your pet, then book Jonathan. Less
