I had a tour with Ian and he was wonderful. He was knowledgable, provided great information, and really went above and beyond – I needed more specific measurements because of concerns I had regarding my furniture, and the next day, he went back and called me from the apartment with his tape measurer, giving me live updates. He even sent photos of the views from a few different apartments so I could see where a few other options were located and what they looked out onto so I could determine which I was interested in applying for. He was really fun, and he wasn't pushy to show me things I didn't really care about seeing (I'm not a clubhouse person, my bad). I've looked at a million apartments and I'm really excited to have made a decision! :)

Lived here for a little over 2 years and had a great experience. Area is quiet and the apartments are newly-built and well-maintained. Management is very communicative via text/email and maintenance requests were addressed quickly. Kendra (property manager) is very easy to get ahold of and was always extremely helpful with anything we needed. We cleaned thoroughly before we left and received our full security deposit back.

I lived at Prairie Crest Apartments approximately 5 years ago, but moved to Middleton for a change. I missed Verona, and really enjoyed my loft when I lived here before, so I called to see what was available. Since meeting and working with Ian, he has been nothing but professional and I can tell how much he loves this property. Ian is an excellent communicator who takes his time to thoroughly understand his renters needs and preferences.He is incredibly knowledgeable about the apartments and amenities at Prairie Crest, and the maintenance crew has been amazing as well! Anytime I've needed anything repaired, they've always gotten it done in a timely manner and are always friendly. Isaac is a very hard worker and keeps the Prairie Crest grounds clean and appealing.I highly recommend Prairie Crest Apartments for anyone looking for a great living space in a supportive and well-managed community. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very accommodating.

I showed up super early for my apartment tour and Isaac was doing yard maintenance and offered to show me the place if i didn’t want to wait! he did an excellent job especially after being put on the spot like that, and really knew his stuff! he was so kind and welcoming. Ian, the grounds manager met up with us as soon as he could and again was so polite and kind. i’ve been touring apartments non stop this week and this place was by far my favorite. beautiful grounds, very well kept units, and the most friendly staff. 10/10 recommend.

The apartments here are quite nice for the price level and location, and the staff is very helpful. In particular the property manager Ian is one of, if not THE single most helpful, engaging, and wonderful people I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. HIGHLY recommend touring this place if you're looking for an apartment in the area, I was shocked by the variety of high quality apartment layouts, suitable for all types of people and living situations.

Had a great experience renting from Prairie Crest. Never had a need for maintainance in my two years I rented. They were also willing to be flexible with my 3rd contract with start/end dates, but I ended up finding a home instead!

Shout out to Kendra Walls for being a sensational property manager. I haven’t lived there in a few years but accidentally sent a package to my old address here. Kendra answered my call, found my package, and notified me that she will call back when she finds the easiest course of action. She called back maybe 10 minutes later to have me email a shipping label to her that she would take with my package to the post office on her own time. She was an exceptionally bright ending to what was a months long issue of my own making. Im certainly not detail oriented but thankfully Kendra was.Mad appreciation.

I just moved in to my studio apartment. After needing to move unexpectedly, I called Prairie Crest. I had called 4 months earlier in anticipation of needing to move but I didnt end up needing to. The property manager Ian remembered me and was more than willing to help and get me in! I got the lease within a week of applying and was shown the apartment before it was cleaned and loved it. Ian even came over to fix my door because the lock wasn't working properly and said it'll be replaced just for assurance. After spending my first night here, I'm really happy about how quiet and peaceful it is. I'm excited to be here and highly recommend this place. Ian truly made the application process a breeze 🫶

Moved in May 2024, smooth and easy process from start to finish. Jill (management) was insanely helpful throughout it all and during any time something came up. Maintenance requests are taken care of quickly with lots of effort to make sure stuff works. Price is reasonable and the apartment includes a workout room, pool, game/lounge room, yoga room, and a conference room, which is nice to use as a temporary office space for wfh days.

Our son moved in this week and JILL was absolutely amazing. Very welcoming and the apartment is fantastic. Linen closet is massive, plenty of room everywhere. No pantry or garbage per floor but we couldn't feel better leaving our son here. Walking area around complex is fantastic too.

The management at this building including the owner of this building have been so incredibly nice to me it really has had an effect on me and is something i will never forget/will always be extremely appreciative for ...especially in Downtown Madison when alot of rental companies have a notoriously bad reputation/ just the way the world has become these days it really makes them stand out I would recommend anyone who is looking for a studio downtown to live here

Pros:- Really quiet neighborhood. Rarely ever had a bad nights sleep as neighbors and surroundings are really quiet.- Rent rates aren’t exactly low but not high for a studio (kind of?).- Multiple bus routes nearby (28, D, A, B to name a few).- Bcycle station close along with the capitol.- Water is always hot during the winter.- Packages delivered safely in a package room.- 10/10 apartment heating.Cons:- Received unit in poor condition. Greasy oven, creaky wardrobe doors, ton of fruit flies in fridge, moldy bathroom ceiling, and beat up gas/bathroom units, kitchen drawer doors beat up.- House centipedes are common.- Had one maintenance request that got closed despite no visit from maintenance (idk how).- Cheap old light bulbs that were using a ton of electricity.Overall, the room conditions aren’t the greatest (stayed in one of the non-renewed units). They are alright but unless you have your eyes set on this exact spot, I wouldn’t recommend as there are other options even nearby for prices similar to this.As for the people in management and maintenance they’re nice and helpful.

Very clean and has washer and dryer in units and because the building is only about a year and a half old it has sprinkler systems in each apartment and even on balconies. Has work out rooms, a pool, and underground parking. The only drawback about the underground parking in my granddaughters building was 33 parking spaces and 36 apartments. So she had to go on a waiting list until someone moved out of her building. Very friendly apartment manager and maintenance person.

Last four months were spent washing dishes in the tub while new management refused to replace my broken window and raised rent by 10% with zero improvements to the property or quality of life for tenants. Linda has no heart. Just explain she has no power over you and you’ll pay a reasonable rent price. They’re a little dumb but you could use it to your advantage and force them to give you a human price for housing. Otherwise they’ll watch your life disintegrate while Linda gets a new SUV. Probably best management I’ve ever dealt with. Unaware of current laws and liabilities and refusing to accept it. Just sound confident and they’ll agree to anything. Incredibly amenable. Ask for Linda. Tell her 301 sent you.

Had a wonderful experience with management, property staff, and the application process! I applied for a studio or one-bedroom apartment, and there was a studio availability where I got a tour the very next day. The property managers were incredibly helpful, energetic, and supportive and would highly recommend the apartment for their efficiency and process in getting my application through. The rent included underground parking, spacious living spaces, and many amenities.

Prairie Crest Apartments may have been the most professional, helpful, and encouraging housing experience I've ever encountered. I worked with two staff members, Kia and Ian, who I've come to hold the upmost respect for. Great experience, and an even better place to live!

Can’t say enough about the location, amenities, quality, and Jill! It’s beautiful and functional. Jill was amazing in our time there.One negative for us (the ONLY one) was the hallway echos… it’s very noisy through the door (conversations, elevators, doors, etc.). The elevators have a super loud ding and we were right by that. Only a negative because we have a doggo.Aside from that, not a single complaint. If we’re ever looking in the area, we’d look here again!

Overall this are very nice apartments. The staff is great and they are always up to help.The property manager is really sweet and she is living in one apartment so if you have any issues she can help you right away.They have a great gym, a heated pool (we love it). The community room is great with a pool table, foosball, and many tv’s to watch sports.There is always things to improve like:They don’t have handicap doors, and there is no trash room in any floor, you have to go all the way to the parking lot to throw away the trash. There are not well placed pet stations.
