Full Canopy Tree Care is an impressive operation. It is my observation that the leader sets the tone for the organization and this was the case with the Full Canopy Tree Care operation. I called Brennon, the owner, on a Saturday and told him we needed an arborist to assess a tree that would be impacted by construction plans to replace the garage at our 1941 Travis Heights home. Our intention was to preserve the tree, a 26 inch Sycamore, and the assessment was a requirement of our architect and ultimately the city. Brennon was highly knowledgeable, walked me through the process with the city and quoted me prices for the various steps that could possibly be required. To my pleasant surprise Brennon made an onsite assessment of the tree later that day and called me with his findings. He discovered that the tree was at the end of its life cycle and had extensive internal rot and a fungus. In short, the tree was not viable. I agreed to engage him to submit an application for removal which he completed before end of day. Amazing hustle! The city agreed with Brennon's findings and the permit to take the tree down was obtained. We set a date and a time for the work to be done and Brennon and his team arrived punctually and with an amazing array of impeccably maintained best in class equipment. To a person his crew was professional and courteous. To fix the nutrient issue would require a recurring spring/fall fertilization program with them for $250 per year. The injections and whatnot would need to occur in the Spring and so no price was quoted for it and they would get back with me at when it was the right time of year to do the work. I also got a quote from them of $350 to clear some low hanging branches on my roof. I agreed to have the roof work done for now, as it was the still summer and was told someone would get with me to schedule the work. A couple of weeks passed and I heard nothing back. During that time I of not hearing anything I received a flyer from a competitor for a free estimate, and the competitor had good reviews on Angie's List as well so I had them come out for a second opinion. The gentleman that came out from that company agreed my tree had a fungus, but it doesn't need injections and I just need to buy some product from Home Depot for $10 to treat the tree myself. He saw no insects. The nutrition issue was mild and would be fixed by the same product at Home Depot. The only time they would recommend a fertilization plan as described by Full Canopy Care would be if my leaves were yellow throughout, instead of only at the new growth tips which was common for this type of tree. The price quoted for roof clearance was about the same as Full Canopy Care. I would recommend that someone getting an estimate from any tree care company get multiple estimates, regardless of who they end up going with. Less

The 2 people who did the job were thorough, diligent and courteous.
