My A/C system was acting strange. The ambient/supply air temp split was only 6.5 F. Should be 20 F. Travis came out and checked the temps and pressures on everything. I had added 2 lbs of refrigerant last Sept, but it was down 2 lbs again. There are one or more leaks in the system and finding them will be very expensive. Fixing them even more so. So since the system is 16 yo, I decided to do nothing and start shopping for a new system.Travis also discovered that my TXV is malfunctioning. In order to replace it, the refrigerant must be completely evactuated from the system. Again, very expensive, so I chose to do nothing. But Travis was kind enough to remove the TXV from the air handler and instructed me to put it in warm water periodically to activate it - which I am faithfully doing while I shop for a new system. (see photo)I may go with Poulin because I trust them. Time will tell. Also, Travis suggested that I wash the condenser coils. So I connected my hose and handed it to him. He sprayed the coils for me at no charge. Very nice and helpful tech.

Beyond pleased with our service with Poulin Cooling! We always receive the best service at a great price, but today impressed me so much! Our A/C unit was leaking and they sent someone out so quickly I was shocked! The tech handled our problem so quickly and gave me a very detailed write up with photos of the work done.
