Stopped in for a Virginia Safety Inspection. They fit me in without an appointment. Inspectors were thorough and honest. Front desk staff were pleasant and courteous. The shop was very busy. Every bay and lift was in use. These folks are obviously doing things right. Highly recommended.

They are a family owned shop right in the middle of two towns. Very busy too and I now understand why, dale. The owner is wonder people along with everyone else there. They gave me coffee, even offered me food while I waited. Best price ive seen come from a shop in about 10 years, that's accounting for all the shops ive worked in too. They were quick, polite, well structured, and held true to there estimate down to the penny. I'd highly recommend them for all of your cars needs. They also do transmission work and full motor replacements and they went above by referring me to a paint shop for my project car too. Again, BEST SHOP IVE EVER SEEN. Highly recommend them 👌

I live in East Tennessee and I run a vending route through Southwest Virginia. My 2012 Ford E350 (cargo van) broke down in Pulaski and I had it towed here. I must say that the service I received was outstanding. I found the owner (Dan McCoy) to be a very professional and straight dealing person. He even allowed me to camp in my van on his lot, which is the first auto repair shop that has ever allowed me to do this when I’ve broken down along my route. The prices at McCoy’s Auto Repair are quite reasonable, and Dan really went the extra mile to research the least expensive way to fix my van.The staff at McCoy’s are also very knowledgeable and professional, and I really appreciated the office manager, Kathy. She made me feel quite at home during this ordeal.This is certainly the mechanic shop I would come back to if (God forbid, lol) I break down around that area again - because I know I can trust them. I know they know what they’re doing, and I know they’re not going to rip me off.To the good folks at McCoy’s, very nice job to all of you.

Update…they’re still the best!I’ve been a happy customer for years, always fair, and their pickup and drop off program is amazing…but today they more than earned a 5 star review: Right before the holidays my vehicle’s battery light comes on. Uh oh.Battery fails test at AutoZone. Great. New battery later…Alternator fails, too. Uh oh…Call McCoy…they can do it Tuesday after Christmas...😬...but they can do a refab under warranty and squeeze me in today if i can get there pronto 🥹Bill was less than half what I expected, I’m about to go pick it up! Amazing service.

I traveled from Richmond to Radford because my daughter had to have surgery about a month ago. The night before surgery I made it there but my car was making a really loud noise. The next day while my daughter was in recovery I asked her nurse if she knew of any decent shops in the area. She told me to hold on and came back 10 minutes later with the name and number of this place. She said her dad had been going there for (I can’t recall the number of years but it was A LOT). I called them immediately and spoke to a super nice lady and explained what had happened. She was SO sweet and asked me to bring my car in as soon as I could get my daughter home and settled. She said they would look at my car and let me know if it was something serious or something that I could wait until I got back to Richmond. When I arrived I met the lady I had spoke to (I’m terrible with names) and the first thing she asked was how my daughter was doing 🙂 I was taken aback but super touched that she asked. She then pointed me to another gentleman (the owner - who was FANTASTIC) and the first thing he asked me was how my daughter was doing 🩷🙏. I felt like I was legit around family. The laughter in the office between all the staff and listening to them discuss home life and pick at each other made me feel so at home and relaxed. The owner was immediately able to identify what was wrong with my car and gave me a great price on getting it fixed. They told me it would be complete in 2 days, but they actually finished the next day. I had to send my mom to get my car and she said when she arrived they immediately asked how my daughter was again. This was by far the best mechanic shop I’ve ever been to. My experience on all levels was a 10. The first phone call, the empathy and concern that was shown not only for my daughter but for my safety getting home, the friendliness and welcoming vibes from all the staff, the owner being so knowledgeable and so personable as we exchanged information about his children and grandchildren and you could tell he was genuinely a great person. I especially liked how his staff picked at him. Ha ha. If you are around Radford and need anything done on your vehicle do yourself a favor and check them out. You won’t be disappointed. Big thanks to the owner and his amazing staff. God bless.

I cannot recommend McCoy's Auto Repair enough for your vehicle diagnosis and repairs. My truck sat at a local Ford dealership for several weeks with nobody interested or able to help with what ended up being a basic issue. McCoy's had my vehicle diagnosed within an hour or two and communicated with me throughout the entire process. I'll do business with McCoy's over and over again.

Firestone told me that fixing my car would take anywhere from 600-1000 dollars, I didn't think this was right so I called Mccoy and they got me in the same day where they then fixed it for around 80 dollars - Great Service.

I absolutely LOVE this shop!! The people here are so friendly and helpful!! I'll never take my vehicle to anyone else. I recently had my only vehicle in need of some costly repairs and thankfully these guys worked with me to get it back on the road. These folks are truly a godsend for me, I could never thank them enough, not only did they make sure my vehicle was totally safe to be back on the road but they got it done super quick!!!
