Chance has done two projects for us. From these projects we've learned he has a good ‘eye’, clearly articulates what he's planning to do, shows up when he said he would, and is willing to do mid-project tweaks. He has never ghosted me before, during or after the work is done. All for a fair price. If we have another project, I would call him immediately and skip the hassle of trying to get 3 quotes.The first project was a walkway from our driveway up to the stoop on a newly added bump out. We met with him before the bump out was completed and talked about the walkway and what we were planning for the stoop. He designed a great walkway and made a suggestion on how to complete the stoop. We liked his ideas for the walkway and the stoop. It turned out great.The second project was to address some down spout drainage issues and to regrade the backyard to allow people to drive up to a ramp attached to our recently renovated porch. He tried to save us some money by running a camera down a 30-year old drainage pipe I had installed before the driveway was paved. It turned out to be plugged up with debris and too small to handle the expected water volume. He then ran all 3 troublesome down spouts underground and had them drain down the hill away from the house. The one running under the driveway was covered by an apron of pavers. It looks great and blends nicely with the asphalt driveway and cement garage floor.

Chance just replaced 100 feet of an undergrond drainpipe including going under our neighbor's driveway that he had to rip up and then repave.The job was done properly in a timely and professional manner and our neighbors are happy because their driveway looks better than it did before!Chance went above and beyond meeting with both our neighbor and the Town Engineering Department before the job because he had to tie the drainpipe into the storm drain on the corner.Thank you Chance!

Took a rocky wreck of landscaping, and excavated it, moved big rocks, graded the area, planed trees and added mulch. I had an excellent experience. Would hire again.In fact I did hire again. He and his crew cleaned up another rocky and messy piece of landscape, graded the area, and installed fencing. His knowledgeable advice helped shape the project, and improve the result. I'm highly recommending Chance and his company to anyone. He came in was able to expand my parking area, added a beautiful wall, and replaced a concrete wall that was falling down with another beautiful retaining wall. The job was done in a week and they did a fabulous job. I live in a neighborhood with very little space, and i wasn't sure how this was all going to happen, but they did it! We had some drainage issues as water was coming into the side of our foundation/basement because the water table wasn't even. Compared quotes and different techniques from a few places. Chance was great at explaining what was going on and how it could be fixed with the perimeter drain. Very open communication and they did a great job of reseeding and leveling out the area they were working around- they even added a free corner drain just in case! It's been a few months (and we've got some rain here and there)-and there's finally been no leaks!

Hiring Chance was one of the best decisions we made for our new home. We hired him to help us with a few problems related to high grade and drainage in our backyard. We had just purchased our home six months before, and as first time homeowners we were inexperienced in terms of understanding the importance, options, and cost of the many different things we wanted to accomplish. Fortunately, Chance helped us understand that our gutters were draining into our new septic system and helped us come up with a solution that fit our needs and our budget. My driveway needed serious attention as all the heavy rain over the past several months created ditches at the curve and steep incline of my driveway. I reached out to Angi's list for a landscape company that might have a solution to this situation. Hartwell Site Solutions popped up on the list. I immediately reached out to them for a quote and solution. I promptly received a call from Chance of Hartwell Site Solutions who came right over to assess the washout on both sides of my driveway and came up with a plan to protect the asphalt (which is only two years old from possible damage from further heavy rain events). Trenches were dug and Rip Rap was spread throughout each trench. This project was complete in two days and in the rain!! Chance followed up with me after a couple more rain events to see how the Rip Rap held up.
