I reached out to Sculpted Studios to help fix a botched scalp micropigmentation procedure that was performed on me late last year by a different provider. I spoke to both Steve and Carla and they offered me a couple of corrective options in order to achieve the look that I wanted. Their explanations were detailed and that made the decison process easier. Within a few days I was at their studio in Manhattan for a laser procedure in order to lighten up the dark spots and fade the pigmentation. Honestly, I battled cancer and if you seen my before pictures. It was such a sad time in my life. My hairline was going to be like that for the rest of my life. And because of Steve and his amazing work, his gifted hand as an artist, literally gave me new life. Before you understand what Sculpted has done for me, I have to break down in honesty and tell you how shallow/insecure I became after losing my hair. It was one of those “misery loves company” type situations. I became palpably irritable and miserable. I just felt ugly and reposed to “interaction” because it was obvious to me the difference in attracting attention when you have hair, Vs when you don’t, as I had sadly lived both eras during my youth. On top of that, I was born to a Colombian family, so, if you know… you KNOW! If not, just understand that aesthetics and beauty were always prevalent in my upbringing… especially because my mom happens to have always been drop-dead gorgeous. For reference, I look like my dad… lol So I was always JUST behind the finish line. Because of this, I saw firsthand how people dealt with her differently JUST BECAUSE, she was/is gorgeous. And I am talking men and women alike… As a result, I have been able to postulate and recognize the psychological impact of 1) the importance of how people see/perceive you and 2) how you see yourself and how it affects your comfortability around others. My long, boring point is, even in recognition of all these variables, it could never account to how amazing I feel now, just walking into a room of people… heck; running into an empty room with a mirror alone! It’s impressively and effectively impacting. The more common term is “life-changing”. What I found most interesting is that, people I have known for over 20 years, a period of which I have been bald for the whole time, after my first few sessions, said to me, “nice haircut”. 😳 I’m talking BEST, see-you-every-day kinda, FRIENDS!! lol. I’ve yet to correct any of them. 😂🫢 Aside from rambling on about “my feelings”, I also need to take the time to thank, re-thank and, maybe even grovel a little bit in front of all the Sculpted crew. Steve, you did so much to accommodate me. That one day I got lost and came in all sweaty, you cleaned my head down (several times), handed me a roll of paper towel, set my chair right under the AC, but never batted an eye! I was SO embarrassed, feeling gross/helpless because I live 45 minutes away and didn’t wanna miss my appointment. However, you treated my situation like you were dealing with a family member. Steve is an ACTUAL artist, which you think is most important but, NOPE… Once you EXPERIENCE Steve, you’ll know what I mean… he is elaborate in his explanations of what he intends to PERMANENTLY secure on your dermis, he’s SO awesome about LISTENING to your goals and tweaking his craft to meet your vision. It means SO much to see someone INVESTED in what he’s doing to better your appearance. You see it BRINGS HIM JOY to make you look good. As a newly licensed artist only having worked on brows, I reserved a seat in Carla’s Lip Blush Fundamentals class and I am so happy I did. The quality of education I received during those three days was incredible. But, what really surprised me was the support I have been receiving after training in-person. I was and am not at all happy with my experience there to my dismay😥 The place is clean and elegant, but I payed $750 For supposedly permanent eye brow tattoo. It’s devastating, first I have one brow higher than the other also tattoo color - after being a light brown- is now reddish beige :( I could send you a photo if you don’t believe me! AGAIN I feel I was cheated 😥 Less

Kyla was very skilled and told me step by step what to expect and what was going to happen. She was very picky on how the pre lining of my brows were before even starting the tattooing process. They turned out amazing after covering up my blading from prior treatments. I love the way they look and I am so happy not to have to put on brows every morning. This past Sunday I had my first appointment at Sculpted Studios with Carla. Let me start by saying the studio is a beautiful space ( almost as Beautiful as Carla herself :) it’s so very welcoming and calming.You almost forget your about to get a tattoo on your face! So if ambiance matters to you they definitely got that covered . I had my full lips and top lid eyeliner done both procedures were practically painless and over so quick I was disappointed it was already time to go. Carla is amazing at what she does. She makes you feel completely at ease my. My eyeliner is perfect ! And my lips haven’t looked this good in years. The best thing I’ve done to my body is getting my lip tattooed by Carla! My lips turned out so beautiful! Every time I look at the mirror I can’t help but to smile :) I have naturally purple/ grey lips and it was my biggest insecurity. If I don’t have lipstick on, people would ask me if I’m feeling alright because I would look sick :( I researched A LOT before deciding to do my lips with Carla; I’ve seen so many horror/ botched job done by others..
