Great place for pet care. Our 16yr old beagle had breathing trouble over the weekend. KVAH worked her in Monday morning, right before Christmas. Dr. Green was very thorough explaining the diagnosis & options. She spent time talking with us about our dog's issues, even though the office was busy before the holiday. Great pet & human care.We have a tribe of 3 rescue dogs & are very happy with the care & efficiency of the entire office. Wonderful people.

I absolutely love all the employees! They are always super friendly. All the vets are very knowledgeable. Dr. Florey saw my dog Duke for his entire lifetime. When Duke passed, the whole staff was extremely caring and thoughtful. I can't say enough good things about this place.

The best people around! They truly care about animals - more than most vets in Decatur. They took care of an emergency with my dad's cat when no one in Decatur would. We are taking all of our animals there now. Additionally- Northgate wanted to charge $ 680 for what KVAH charged 300 for. Highly recommend @

We had to have our Gentle Giant Malachi put down today 09/12/24.... Our Regular Vet wasn't in so we called here to see if they could help us out.. Dr Savannah and the rest of the staff treated us and Malachi like we had been a client for years..... I give Kaskaskia Valley Animal Hospital my highest rating and endorsement. Dr. Florey, the other doctors and staff are all caring, highly qualified and competent and I have received the best care for all my fur babies. I have had plenty of fur babies in my life, most rescued. I have even had to euthanize some like my German shepherd who at 16 years old was beginning to suffer with terminal illness. Dr. Florey not only did his job he was compassionate and kind to me in my time of grief as was his entire staff. When my cat was thrown from a moving car in front of my house I immediately took to them to check and care for him and they did so without an apt. I needed to make sure he was safe around my other pets and it’s been over a year and he is a beloved member of the fur family. I could go on with many more examples. We are blessed in this community to have this wonderful group and facility here. Tim Henderson.
