I love this place! I had never had Indian food before eating here. One great different option than most restaurants do not have in Grand Forks is offering lamb as a protein. With it being my first time, I didn't know what to order, nor did my friend. We ordered the first two entrée's on the menu, Nikki Masala and Shahi Korma, both mild-one chicken and one lamb. They are both phenomenal dishes, yet have very different tastes. Now I am a regular because I enjoy different flavor in my life, and they have it! The flavor of the Nikki Masala is sweet and savory red sauce with bell peppers and onions. The Shahi Korma is a creamy based sauce that is sweet, but not too sweet. A surprising crunch and flavor is cashews. They complemented the dish perfectly to offset the sweetness. All dishes are served over rice that is cooked to perfection. The ambiance is spectacular for a strip mall restaurant. It is on the smaller side, yet plenty of tables. I brought a large group one time and they quickly pushed together tables to accommodate 20 of us. They have booths as well. The ceiling is filled with different, bright, and beautiful umbrellas turned upside down and there is a good sized fountain that trickles down water as you eat. When I go, whomever goes with me, we do family style. It is fun to try other dishes as well, but if you want my recommendations, now you have them. One more thing, they give back to our community. I do charity work in town and they always donate gift cards for silent auctions. Small town businesses giving back is wonderful, and so is their staff!
