Sarah Leslie and Maggie's Place is a wonderful place to receive the best care in a warm, knowledgeable and compassionate environment. Each resident is given special consideration;Sarah takes the necessary time with a servant's heart to really listen and acknowledge the resident and their family with patience and kindness. I would no doubt place my loved one in the care of Maggie's Place and feel reassured that their needs were being met! They are one of my favorite partners!

My husband has Alzheimer’s and we visited at least 7 memory care facilities and narrowed it down to our 2 favorites! We chose Maggie’s place and will be moving my husband in the next month. We (the family) liked Maggie’s place because it felt more like ‘home’ and had more living areas for the residents and their guests and Sarah was by far the most engaging with us and understanding of the difficulty of the decision and patient with our questions. I’ll review again after my husband has been a resident awhile!

I stopped into Maggie‘s Place for a tour last week and was so glad I did. Sarah, the Executive Director spent quite a bit of time showing me their beautiful homes and sharing all the wonderful benefits they offer.I loved the open and safe outside area and the front porches where people can sit and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. It truly made you feel like a little community of homes and they were warm and inviting.Not only is Sarah the Executive Director, but she is also a nurse and therefore she really understands the needs of the resident and showed great compassion for the families walking through a difficult chapter. I highly recommend you schedule a visit and I look forward to referring In the future.

My Mom was afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease. As the disease progressed it became apparent she needed more and more assistance. After touring several memory care facilities my family and I chose Maggie’s Place for Mom. Maggie’s Place concept was very different from the other locations we visited. The residents live in “houses” with a limited amount of other residents. They all eat together, play games, trivia, and celebrate the various holidays just like families do. The staff are loving, attentive and care for the residents very well. Communications between staff and the residents families are very good. I was able to spend a decent amount of time with my Mom and it was heart warming to watch how staff members interacted with residents, and residents families. It was very nice to see that residents weren’t relegated to their rooms. Sadly my Mom passed away two months ago. When it was obvious Mom didn’t have much time left, my family and I stayed with her for most of two days, the staff not only took care of her but also took good care of my family and I. I could go on but hopefully I’ve made my point. I have and will continue to recommend Maggie’s Place and I will be forever grateful for the love, care and compassion my Mom was shown.

My mother has been within the Colonial Village Family for almost four years. She began in the independent living apartments, moved to an Assisted Living apartment and is now headed to Maggie's Place. After touring the facility, seeing how her house is set up, it gives me great comfort in knowing she will be cared for there. It is welcoming warm and home-like. I could not ask for a better set up to meet my mother's needs.

My mother-in-law was cared for at Maggie’s Place for just over a year before passing away two weeks ago. The staff cared for her with respect, kindness, and love. We felt like we were part of a larger family and that was incredibly comforting. I would encourage everyone to consider Maggie’s Place as a home for their loved ones.

Due to a rapid decline in my Dad's cognition, we had to search, tour and make a decision on a new permanent home for him in less than a week. The staff at Maggie's Place did everything possible to make this happen for us. Maggie's Place is a beautiful home-like setting and we were immediately impressed not only with the environment, but also with the entire team that was there to support .With assistance over the weekend, Dad's assessment was completed, our contract finalized, and we were able to move his bed and belongings in before he moved into his new home this week. We are so grateful to have his home at Maggie's Place.

My father was in another “well known” facility and I can’t tell you the difference Maggie’s place was for him and our entire family. From the minute we checked him in until the final second, I would give them 5 stars and could not imagine going through this without them. Angela was truly an Angel.No place will ever be perfect when someone you love is faces w these diseases, but I couldn’t think of a Negative thing to say.In my opinion, if you’re looking at facilities, I would cross Brookdale at 121st and Lamar immediately off your list. I was looking for a place for my Mother. This community is so bright and light and filled with windows. The staff seem happy and dedicated. The residents seem well taken care of. I liked that they use Teepa Snow’s dementia programs. Unfortunately my Mom is unvaccinated and everyone must be vaccinated and boosted to live there. Jill Lamb was kind and informative and patient as she led us around.
