From the moment we arrived at Adventure Bound Campground, (9/13/25), the experience was nothing short of welcoming. The staff at the welcome center were polite, helpful, and made check-in a breeze. They showed us exactly where our cabin was on the map (we stayed in Cabin 128), handed us the keys, and sent us off with smiles. The Cabin:We stayed in a deluxe cabin that comfortably fit our family. Inside, there were two double beds (one in a cozy loft accessible by stairs and another in the common area), plus a bedroom with four twin-size bunk beds—perfect for kids or a group. The cabin came stocked with essentials like paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, a sponge, utensils, a pot, toaster, coffee pot, and fridge. We even found a broom for quick tidying.Cleanliness & Comfort:Honestly, it was cleaner than we expected for a campground stay. I still gave the tub and toilet a quick wipe with my Clorox wipes, but there was very little to worry about. A few spiders and bugs made appearances, but this is camping—expect a little nature indoors! Nothing that took away from the experience. If anything, I’d recommend bringing a small duster for spider webs in high corners, but overall, the cabin was clean and comfortable.Service:We had a small accident (a window broke while we were swatting at a bug), and the staff handled it with impressive speed and professionalism. By the very next morning, it was completely fixed—fast, efficient, and without any stress on our end.Activities:If you can, book a stay during their Halloween weekend in September. It was such a highlight! The kids had an absolute blast with train rides, pumpkin and ceramic painting, face painting, trick-or-treating, and even a DJ. What really stood out was how much the staff cared—one of the employees even volunteered to take our girls trick-or-treating while we stayed back at the cabin to pass out candy to other trick-or-treaters. That kind of thoughtfulness made us feel like part of a big family, and it’s rare to find in a campground resort.On-Site Store:Another huge plus is their store—it’s stocked with everything you might need, from snacks and pantry items to firewood, camping basics, and even beer. It definitely saves you a trip into town if you forget something.Overall:Adventure Bound is exactly what a family-friendly campground should be: welcoming staff, clean and comfortable cabins, tons of activities, and a store that has your back if you forgot anything. It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again. We’ll definitely be coming back!
