I came to kinetic with a somewhat unusual lower back issue. Prior to working with Mike, I did the usual 6-10 weeks of PT per my neurosurgeon’s advice. I also had a pain shot in my lower back. If the PT and shot did not help the back pain and nerve pain down my left leg, surgery was going to be my next option to remove two synovial cysts and a fusion procedure. Not an option I was looking forward to. My pain persisted. Fortunately, I met Mike and started seeing him back in May. Mike’s unique approach has helped manage my back pain and resolve my leg nerve pain through the one on one sessions and exercise routines geared specifically for my issue. Another plus to the one on one sessions is Mike’s ability to troubleshoot and help with all problem areas. I met with my neuro surgeon to go over my recent 1 year mri and I’m happy to say my synovial cysts are gone and I no longer have any nerve impingements. No surgery is required! I moved to Long Island a little over two years ago to sail professionally. I ended up hurting my knee pretty badly a few months into the job and it was not getting better. After a year of physical therapy, I had knee surgery in September 2022. I found Dr. Mike a few months after knee surgery and he took the time to assess my knee and explain everything! I finally felt like someone understood the pain and frustration I was going through not being able to perform at 100%. It's been a few months that I have been working with Dr. Mike and I have seen some amazing results in my knee and I am now able to sail a full weekend without knee pain and can go back to being active. I started seeing Dr. Mike in October due to recurring shoulder pain and mobility and range of motion limitations.. This has honestly been life changing. I have seen chiropractors and doctors over the years and have never experienced such thorough and personalized care. From the initial assessment, I knew this would be a different experience. I started barely even having the mobility to stand with my hands on my hips and was able to successfully snatch in the gym within less than 2 months. In fact, at the time I put up m y holiday decorations, I could not reach high enough to put ornaments on my tree. By the time I took everything down, I had zero issues reaching the highest branches. That may sound like a minor accomplishment, but it was a huge gauge for me to measure how much progress I made in such a short time.
