Dr. Lyons was kind and very knowledgeable. I did not have time to schedule an in office visit so I had to do it virtually , but she was so personable I felt like I was sitting in her office. As a new patient, she made me comfortable by listening to my prediagnosis as well as offering a full work up of her own to assess where I am. She asked follow up questions and decided to research which medication would be best for my insomnia instead of just throwing pills at me. Also, her office manager is super sweet. They do not overbook appointments so you are seen quickly and not spending time waiting to be seen. I had such an amazing experience, start to finish. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and really willing to work with me. I felt both seen and well taken care of. I definitely appreciate the flexibility of the care model they use, which really makes getting an appointment a breeze. With many of the other health systems around I would have had to wait until next year to be seen, so this really was a game changer for me. It can also be hard to find a primary care physician of color and even more difficult to get an appointment in a timely manner.
