We have had a good experience with this provider for our child. No issues with payments or scheduling as other reviewers have reported. We have been at the practice for 2 years with good success. One thing I appreciate is that a real human always answers the phone and is available for billing questions, med refills, or scheduling changes.

While sometimes the scheduling may not be super ideal for a busy gal like me, the dedicated, talented and compassionate mental health professionals at Optimum have been there for me to lean on through an extremely difficult time in my life and I’m glad to have had them through this journey. Dr. Ikedinma , my psychiatrist is obviously very invested in her work and you can tell that she cares because she has always listened to my thoughts in regards to my medication plan and worked with me happily while encouraging the healthy changes I’ve been making in my personal life. Dr. Laurent, the psychologist I’ve been working with on my ADHD cognitive behavioral therapy is probably one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met and the patience, understanding and determination she has to help her clients live the best life they possibly can is truly inspiring. While the process of diagnosis and treatment can be an arduous one, I don’t think I’d rather have anybody else at my side along the way.

I received psychotherapy with Optimum Care Counseling for almost six years; every time I was dealing with anxiety and depression they were there for me. My husband and I have been in counseling now for over three years and it has been a tremendous journey. We have reached a point of no return- in a good way. Thanks to finding Optimum Care and Dr. Laurent. She's our Angel. I recommend anyone to try counseling but the key is sticking with it once you make a commitment. I see Sheila Jourdain for psychology. She is so kind and just a beautiful person. The perfect combination of personal and professional. It didn’t take long at all for her to get me where I needed to be to thrive. My progress with her has been great and I couldn’t thank her enough.I see Lucas Malmberg for therapy. I have seen therapists a plenty, but Lucas is my favorite. He’s consistent, mindful, constructive (but gentle) and intelligent. A lot of people could use someone like him… but not too many people because I still want my appointments to be available. He’s a staple in my life now.

I came to OCC because of different reviews I read, and I sought Dr. Laurent. Just like you right now I started here.I do not typically write reviews.That said - I have been a patient of Dr. M. Laurent’s for almost five years.She is a REMARKABLE doctor! She began seeing my wife and I, and eventually my entire family. It has been healing, and quite life changing for all of us. My teenage son looks forward to sessions with Dr. Laurent.In college studied psychology, I have written two books, and been to many different counselors, I was often skeptic. My wife has was a college professor, she holds two degrees.None of the other counselors we saw were equiped to help us learn and recognizing things about us. None explained things in the manner that Dr. Laurent does. She is truly brilliant - God sent!I can tell you – before, and when life gets too heavy, this is the place for your marriage, family, and for yourself!It is a right to post reviews, I get it - but it is important to remember that people are reading them because they seek help.It is not fair to post issues that do not reflect the actual quality of treatment that Optimum Care provides - it’s not right.More people write complaints instead of compliments.I will continue to STRONGLY recommend Dr. Laurent to anyone, and remain a patient.

I don't come here for therapy, but I have been seeing Sheila Jourdain for the past year and a half to help me with medication management. Sheila is friendly, approachable, and understanding (which I find is rare in the world of psychiatric medication management). She listens to my input and guides me through every step to ensure I am comfortable during treatment. Finding the right psychiatric medication can be tricky, but knowing Sheila genuinely cares about my life, future goals, and well-being makes the process so much easier. I have struggled for years to find a provider like her. I cannot recommend her enough!

OCC has in fact been the best decision that my husband has made Dr. Laurent as his therapist and Sheila as his med managent and of course all of office help are excellent and are very professional. With that being said my Husband has made Significant progress I too see Dr. Laurent and Sheila our marriage has improved along with us being individuals working to better ourselves we could not ask for better we already have the best and will continue to recommend this place to everybody.

Had some trouble with insensitive counselors at first, but I've been going to Shelia for over a year and she's been amazing! She makes sure I feel comfortable and explains everything during our appointments. She's patient and met with me often to check up with new or changes to my meds. She's also super sweet, supportive, and funny :)
