My 2 year old joined starfish about 4 months ago and I was nervous transferring him to a new centre when our old centre closed. Sam and the Starfish team have been nothing short of amazing, he was warmly welcomed and settled in beautifully. All of the educators are brilliantly caring and supportive. We have also loved the extra activities and excursions that we’ve been able to be a part of. My boy is loving it there and we couldn’t be happier. Highly highly recommend if you are considering a centre in the area, Starfish are honestly one of the best

Returning to work and putting my son into childcare for the first time was something I was incredibly nervous about, but Starfish Nunawading made the entire transition feel so supported and reassuring from day one.What really stood out to us was the thoughtful learning environment they create for the children. The dedicated learning themes are beautifully incorporated into daily activities, making every day engaging, educational, and fun. We also loved the incursions like Funky Yoga and the excursions around the local neighbourhood, which gave the children such wonderful experiences outside the classroom.Most importantly, my son absolutely thrived at Starfish. He attended from 18 months old through to 3 years old, and we could not have asked for better carers and educators. The staff genuinely love what they do, and it shows in the way they engage with and care for the children every single day.Starfish truly became like an extended family to us, and we are so grateful for the love, care, and support they gave our son during such an important stage of his life.

Starfish very quickly became a second family. Treated like good friends every time we walk in the door, right from our first day. My daughter (1yo) is cared for by the most incredible educators. We’re often having chats about how she’s going and the educators are always keen to know how they can support her sleep/eating/development plans so it closely matches home. Every baby is cared for in such an individual way. She comes home a very relaxed and happy girl.

We’ve had both of our girls attend Starfish in Nunawading and have had a very positive experience. The educators are caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the kids, and the management team is always professional and easy to communicate with. We couldn’t be happier with Starfish Nunawading. We moved from another centre and from that onward, the educators made my son feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. The communication and updates are amazing via Storypark. The centre is always clean, organised, and full of engaging activities. My son adjusted easily and made some new friends of his age. Highly recommend to any parent looking for genuine care and a nurturing environment 💙

We are very happy with this childcare centre! The educators are caring and attentive (great thanks to you all), and the smaller group size means each child receives personalised care.My child settled in quickly, is eating and sleeping well, and even started drinking milk again—which didn’t happen at the previous centre.Sam (the centre manager) is supportive and responsive, and the centre is flexible with casual bookings, which we really appreciate. We also love the variety of activities like music, gardening, and excursions.Highly recommended! 💛

We’ve been at Starfish Essendon for a month now and I’m so impressed! The enrolment was a breeze, and even though my little ones are still so young, I can already see them hitting new milestones! The staff in the baby room are also so lovely!! they’re so warm and have built a bond with my babies so quickly that it has given me total peace of mind. It’s such a relief to find a place I can trust. 10/10 would highly recommend! :)

We absolutely love Starfish Reservoir ELC. Our twins' skills and confidence have grown so much since starting in 2025. Chika, Samina, El, Juliana, Monica, Ruby and Mo have gone above and beyond to make our children feel comfortable and happy, teach them key skills, and help them reach milestones such as walking, nap transitions and solids. Very grateful to be part of this awesome community!

Starfish Reservoir is an excellent ELC. Our daughter has attended for the last two years since she was nine months old and staff have been so wonderful. Management is extremely competent, communicative and well organised and each individual educator has been fantastic and skilled, with many of the same key workers there year after year. Also has a great community feel!

Both of our children have attended starfish and I couldn't speak more highly of a childcare centre. The staff have always been warm and attentive to our children, who have built lasting relationships with them.One of the biggest green flags for me has been the focus on quality time with the children, rather than documenting or being caught up in technology.Starfish has a real community, and we have always felt safe and heard here. I am sad our time is coming to an end, and wish nothing but the best for all of the lovely staff who are what make Starfish so special.

Our little one has been attending Starfish Essendon for 5 months now and she is thriving. Our entry into daycare was truly so smooth thanks to the support of the Educators and Centre Director who I can only describe as warm, nurturing and kind. We visited 3+ centres in the area and this was by far the best in terms of facilities and equipment.

Fantastic place, our daughter has been here for 2 years now, in 2 different rooms (1-2y and 2-3y). For both rooms/years, the staff were fantastic. They have a very good balance between caring and teaching. They have exhibitions every now and then for parents to see what kids have been doing. They also have very detailed daily and weekly updates, with specifics about your child. Staff are always available to chat and discuss your child, and are very supportive of your child’s individual journey. Daughter loves it and looks forward to going there. Centre leadership is fantastic, led by Cathy. It’s a strong community feel, where everyone knows each other. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Our little boy joins Starfish Guppies Room from October 2025.Although he may not yet have fully learned to enjoy his days at Starfish, the progress he has made has far exceeded our expectations. Before starting at Starfish, he had never been away from us for even an hour — one of us was always by his side. We were delighted to see that by the end of his first month, he had already stopped crying loudly during separation. We had once worried that he might struggle to adapt for a long time or even experience emotional distress.Also, he learned to eat with a spoon, and learned to speak a little words... We are so happy to see his progress.For us, choosing Starfish for him may have been a small step, but for him, beginning his social journey at Starfish was a giant leap.We are deeply grateful to the entire Guppies Team for taking such wonderful care of our boy.We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the management team for their outstanding work, which made it easy and enjoyable for us to connect with Starfish.We hope that all the little ones continues to enjoy days filled with peace and joy at Starfish .Regards,

Starfish Clayton has been almost a second home to both my kids. The environment is welcoming and warm, staff are kind, helpful, and always willing to help. We love Clayton South ELC, the facilities are well maintained and mostly because our little one loves the educators. Really helps with the transition and drop offs in a household with working parents! In a quiet street, next to a reserve many excursions to explore nature! Sad that the beautiful tree out front had to be removed (for safety reasons) highly recommended centre!
