I went into the office limping from a hip injury. I had the option to "get pricked" by dry needling (30 seconds of discomfort not pain) versus manually helping for 3-4 weeks. GET PRICKED! Dr. Nick Long is a magician. I had been having debilitating thumb pain for months. He took a lot of time diagnosing exactly what was happening, eventually leading him to my friggin ROTATOR CUFF, where he did some quick work, completely eliminating the pain in my thumb. Showed me some exercises I can do on my own for maintenance, and that was that. Truly could not have had a better experience.If you've ever been turned off by the typical PT experience (you + 5 other people for one PT at a time and therapy out of a textbook that you could probably just google), I can not recommend Somatic Physical Therapy enough. Just an awesome awesome experience, and so much more in depth and wholistic than what I've come to expect from typical PT's.
