My husband and I stayed at the Inn for a long weekend. This property is absolutely beautiful! There is a short trail through the woods to get to the lake. The trees surrounding the lake were stunning with the fall colors. There are adirondack chairs by the lake to relax and soak in the outdoors or you can take a paddle boat out for spin. This inn is such a great place to get away from it all. Rom and Maria were so welcoming and made our stay very pleasant. They put out quite the spread for breakfast each day and made sure we were always taken care of. Our room was absolutely huge and very comfortable. It had recently been renovated and felt like we were in our own cabin in the woods. We also had a nice deck for relaxing and drinking coffee in the morning. It sounds like Rom and Maria have lots of great plans for the place. We can't wait to come back to see what they do.

We stayed here last summer and had a great time. Clean rooms and wonderful location. At that time we were also allowed to bring our dog. Apparently that is no longer the case. Unfortunately, we will have to stay somewhere else this year. But, if you don't have a dog, it is a great location.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inn at Lake Joseph! The entire staff was warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. Maria, the owner, cooks a delicious breakfast herself each morning, which was a real highlight. The rooms were clean and spacious, and honestly the whole property was spotless. Such a relaxing getaway with genuine hospitality!

My sister and I recently spent a few nights at this historic registered Inn. We were looking for a place that was not a typical hotel crowded with people and we found this gem! It was such a serene visit with a clean pool and brand new huge hot tub with rooms that were oversized. We had a balcony for wild life and bird viewing. This was a summer visit and Maria and Rom served the most amazing homemade breakfast spread every single day. Their hospitality was beyond ordinary! For the July 4th they grilled out on the lawn and we enjoyed food and a beautiful view while sitting in the adirondack chairs under the trees of this amazing large property nestled in the woods. It was more than relaxing, it was energizing and provided us time to just talk and enjoy life without the hustle bustle scene of hotels. The lake has several row boats for use and there are trails for walking in he woods. The area and buildings have a history that was shared and is kept alive through their restoration project. I will return because it is not a far distance from Sam's Pointe hike and other places to get extreme exercise, if you crave that. There were several restaurants in the area that served authentic Italian food and a pizzeria that was amazing. Treat yourself!

The quintessential peaceful getaway. This resort offers plenty of walking trails, a beautiful lake and a lovely swimming pool. It's a perfect place to unwind. The rooms are charming and immaculate. We were looking forward to stay there, a romantic place. Somehow, as soon as we checked in we had to leave without staying there, because of health reasons. The reception person was extremely compassionate, respectful and understanding. He called the owners who happened to be there. Not only they consoled me, they offered a full refund, and made us very comfortable. They brought cake and coffee for us to make us feel better. They spent time with us.We will go there again, this time with family.There are fireplaces, there are trails, the building is old farmhouse converted into a hotel.If you want to go away to a place full of hospitality, old world charm, seclusion, calm, serenity, and spend time in nature, alone or with family and friends, try this place. We highly recommend it.

I found this Catskill gem a few years ago while looking for a home base while exploring the numerous nearby towns. On our most recent trip, we met the new owners, Maria and Rom. Although we had reservations about a ‘changing of the guards,’ our thoughts were immediately settled when we spoke with Maria. While she wakes up (way too early) to begin serving breakfast with one hot main dish, there are always tasty bits to nosh on throughout the day. Every need that arose was tended to immediately and professionally. As others have mentioned, the grounds are picturesque, the lake is serene and the walking trail is well kept.If you add the changes that are in store for the property, The Inn will be The Choice place to stay.
