I got the Wildman clubbells after I had 1 cheap club I was using. As I use kettlebells too so love the grip of wildman version of the club bell I had rotator cuff issues and I think a lighter clubbell will really help. Three parts to my review: clubs in general; Adex clubs in particular; and my experience of Adex as a customer. First, clubs. I credit clubs with strengthening my core to the point that a 25-year lower back problem is essentially fixed. I also genuinely enjoy swinging them - whereas for example lifting weights or swimming laps feels dull (my personal thoughts). I also enjoy kettlebells, but clubs are the foundation of my exercise, and I'm stronger now than I have been in decades because of them. Second, Adex in particular. I had bought a selection of different single-weight clubs all the way up to 25lbs before I got an Adex. When I first saw Adex clubs on youtube I assumed they would be a compromise against single-weight clubs, but it's the opposite: I prefer the feel of the Adex clubs to my traditional ones, and the engineering is so impressive. I now have a fat handle club, arc and mace, and a Wildman club. I have started giving my single-weight clubs to friends who I know will benefit from them. If I was doing it all again, I would only get Adex, and am so impressed by their engineering and quality. Finally, my experience of Adex as a customer. I first bought from Adex because I wanted to try a mace but - after ending up with many different clubs - didn’t want a collection of maces. This was during the pandemic, when shipping to Hong Kong was extremely difficult (there were almost no flights to Hong Kong), and due to a mix-up I received a club instead. Donnie’s instant response says everything about Adex: he sent the mace and wrote (this is a straight quote): “Apologies for the mix up on our part. I bought a pair of adjustable clubs a couple of years ago. As a trainer, I like the adjustability of them. I think if I bought them again, I would buy the factional plate with the kit as the micro loading helps if my shoulders are feeling wonky. I think they may have changed the finish to something a little grippier which I think would be a good fix; however, the old finish is just fine with me. It is hard to get my athletes to buy these as they are pretty expensive, but for a trainer, they are a great investment. Less

I am new to mace and club training but very comfortable with dumbbell/barbell training from my military days - years ago. Single arm club training helped me recognize a significant difference in grip strength between my hands. An MRI revealed an injured and improperly healed tendon as the culprit. I showed the club to my orthopedic surgeon after receiving surgery. He was thrilled with the incremental weight loading of the club and its ability to provide him a way or objectively measure my rehabilitation through its use. The Adex adjustable club is hands down the best club I've ever used. For the last fifteen years I've used chi ishi and rmax clubs, which are both great but lack the ability to microload the weight. The ability to microload is an absolute game changer in club swinging. Progressions come so much easier and continuously. The club itself is sturdily constructed. I've been slowly amassing a collection of Maces, and I can say, Adex is the BEST mace I've swung around. My clients and I all agree: BUTTERY SMOOTH when it comes to how it feels during swings. The best part about the Adex is that it can be changed in 2.5lb increments... Other brands go in 5lb increments, and that big of a weight gap creates disparity in technique.
