My son (5) and daughter (11), have been going to Gracie Barra chantilly since almost a month, and the experience has been phenomenal. The professors and coaches are very knowledgeable, supportive and amazing. My kids look forward to their Jiu Jitsu classes and don’t like missing them. I recently relocated to this area and was looking for a BJJ gym. Professor Jesse allowed us to take a trial class with my daughter. We enjoyed the class; the coaches are very savvy and friendly. Good facility too. They also have a very structured BJJ program. Thanks so much for the opportunity :-)

Look no further. If you are considering Jiu Jitsu for your child this is the place! The coaches are truly amazing. I love the structure of the class. Safety and the correct technique are taught here.It is not over crowded. My kids receive clear instruction from the coaches. All the coaches truly care about the kids safety and ability to grasp each technique before advancing. The class schedule is accommodating for all ages. You can always stop in for a trial to see if it’s a good fit. It is fun for the entire family!

Gracie Barra Chantilly is a rare gem in the NOVA area. The Professora and coaches at the school are about helping you learn proper Jiu Jitsu. Professora Glaucia Braga Libanio is a 3rd degree black belt from Brazil. She not only teaches and runs the classes at the school but she also actively competes in Jiu Jitsu tournaments to this day. Her wealth of knowledge in tournament situations and knowledge learned from studying in Brazil makes her an outstanding teacher who can help anyone desiring to learn the art of Jiu Jitsu. Coach Jesse Hernandez is the head coach of the school. He's a retired veteran of the USMC and currently holds a brown belt. He is very passionate about teaching Jiu Jitsu and has a strong passion for teaching youth classes in Jiu Jitsu. His staff of coaches who assist him and Professora Glaucia are well versed in Jiu Jitsu and share a passion for teaching the art. All the instructors adhere to the teaching methods setup by Gracie Barra. Given this method, students need not worry about "what's next?" as the curriculum is well planned out and taught effectively. The facilities are well maintained and they are constantly cleaning the mats to avoid any issues. If you want to learn at a school who is taught by bona fide Brazilian professor who is actively competing in tournaments AND loves to teach the art, then look no further than Gracie Barra Chantilly with Professora Glaucia. This gym has a fun and empowering class exclusively for women. The head instructor, Prof. Glaucia is fantastic! She is a great leader, patient, and very charismatic. Coach Jesse, Prof. Hani, Coach Jake are super detailed oriented and supportive. The colored belt women are very nice and generous mentoring the white belts. So, if you are looking for a safe and supportive environment, you should check it out.
