Hyphen has been one of the greatest to work with, and I mean it!When I came to tour this school back in May of 2025, one of the reasons that caught my attention was their flexibility in working with their students. I was a full time college student at UCF and wanted to pursue a license in the beauty industry.After some planning, Hyphen worked with me to find the perfect schedule for me to start my classes. It wasn't easy managing both college and beauty school at first, but after my first two weeks, I got the hang of it! Fall 2025 is when I started my official journey in the Full Specialist course with Ms. Karla as my Nail Tech teacher and then Ms. Aileen as my Esthetics teacher. Both of them are so experienced and gave me all their tips and tricks for being successful in the industry. I couldn't be more grateful for everything they have taught me, and their patience with me while I worked through finishing my bachelor's degree at the same time.While it did take me a little longer than expected, I have finally graduated from Hyphen with my Full Specialist license on the way. And at the same time, I have also graduated from UCF! This comment review is a reminder to myself and to anyone who reads it, that you CAN do it. If you put your heart into it, it's accomplishable. Where do I even begin? After years of feeling like I should go back to school and not really having the confidence to, the moment that I toured hyphen I felt the instant pull to: this is it! And I was so right! All the staff has amazing different personalities and they balance each other out so well! I looked forward to class and often found myself wanting to go another day lol granted, I was there 4 days a week because I really just wanted to get my license but the memories and knowledge that I gained is priceless! I did nails and esthetics, Ms Karla is endless entertainment lol makes class light and fun. And Ms Aileen made me actual start to believe in myself again. She pours so much into her students and really wants them to do well in what they want to do! She pushes you to be independent and grow in ways that everyone needs to be honest. Along with taking her amazing class and graduating with the confidence and support to build a business I made some genuine friendships. Thanks Hyphen 🤍✨ I’m forever changed!

i attended hyphen from february 2026 until just this week (may 2026) and i can say my experience went great, and i took the Nail Technician program. my instructor was mrs lissette morales, she always had positive energy and good vibes but was also great with being instructive and giving constructive criticism. i was pleased with how she taught, as i’ve heard horror stories (not from hyphen) but others about how instructors are just bullies, and i so luckily did not experience that at all or get that feeling from any of the other instructors within hyphen. everyone there really just wants you to win, get your license and move up in your career. the owner, mrs lina, is also a super nice person and is very involved- she checks in with the students and knows everyone’s names, which there are plenty to know and i think that little detail alone helps with the welcoming environment. the admins were also amazing, and very encouraging, they always hyped me up when i would show my work from the beginning until the end- and it made me feel proud to know i had such a great group of people wanting to see my success. anytime i did have an issue, it was so minor and would resolve on its own that i don’t think i even need to go into detail. i appreciate, again, my instructor, the owners, the staff and admin- for making my experience smooth and amazing, i am happy to be hyphen alumni and who knows maybe i’ll come back for another program.

BUT- i hit the jackpot when i got into Ms. Aileen’s class. take my advice – do whatever you can to get into one of her classes. Yes- Every school teaches you the state-required curriculum. But Ms. Aileen unpacks ENDLESS insider secrets & knowledge. She packages all of her accomplishments (extensive education, owner of esthetics spa; continually solicited by skincare brands to be their ambassador & product representative) and literally multiplies you’re knowledge in the industry. We often found ourselves feeling like we should be paying her for all the tips & insight she offered. YEARS of experience & information, just handed to you. If you’re just trying to get your certificate- you will. But Ms. Aileen can recognize the student who is driven, who wants to be great in their profession, who is thirsty for knowledge; and her heart (& highly-knowledgeable mind) just cracks wide open to you. I enrolled for a teacher, and ended up getting a full- scale skincare & business development mentor. I just graduated from the esthetics program, and my experience at Hyphen exceeded my expectations. I LOVED IT HERE! I wish I had found this school sooner lol. Ms. Nichma was the first person I met when I did a tour, and her personality and aura are everything. She made me feel so welcomed from the very first quarter and explained everything I needed to know, which made the registration process smooth and easy. My teacher was Ms. Aileen, and she is literally the best. She is the sweetest, kindest, and coolest teacher ever. She is so knowledgeable in what she does, and I’m so grateful to have had her as my teacher. She never made us feel stupid for asking “stupid” questions. She always motivated us and gave us words of encouragement. I see Ms. Aileen as more than just a teacher. I was always happy to go to school—I never had a bad day while I was there. Before visiting Hyphen, when I saw the school hours, I thought some days would be long and boring… I was wrong!!!!! If anything, my days went by so quickly. I was shocked that I had been at school the whole day. You are literally always doing something productive the entire time you’re there. I genuinely was not ready for the program to go by so fast.
