Of course we thought it must have been a misunderstanding but after confronting them about it there was no apology, no offer to continue for the missing 30 mins but they blamed it on their boss not allowing them phones inside the room. They were just standing there waiting for us to leave. We also fell for the good reviews, that's why I wanted to share our story! @reflections: yes, I reached out to Ryan but we were only reimbursed for the missing 30 mins, so still payed full price for the massage we got. David never received any message from you either, just emails from fomo. Definitely not worth any money if the sense of relaxation is valued like this. When I walked out wrapped in a towel, I saw no staff and no one to assist me. At last I had come across a staff member who did not only disrespect me but belittled me as a first time client. Got told that I should “ just wait , I’m not gonna help you , I have a session” verbatim. At this point I went back to the room put my clothes on and left. I am currently communicating with the owner as an apology does not do justice to what I have experienced. I have only been but kind to the staff to be answered in a tone which is not the way you speak to people. Everybody has different experiences but first impressions last forever. Therefore I would not recommend or advise anybody to book a massage here. You never know what you are going to get. This might help lower the expectations of the next potential visitor to this establishment, coz mine were very high after seeing what others had to say and boy was I disappointed. I am writing this review in excruciating back pain from the not so pleasant massage treatment I had yesterday (27/2/23 @11h30). I know that my skin is extremely sensitive and as much as I was very dissatisfied I was not going to write this review, until my husband who was with me for the treatment, also complained about body pains from the treatment. I am a frequent visitor of Spa's and fully understand that being sore is normal after a massage just as you would after a physical work out. However, this kind of pain we are in is caused by the pressure (that I on numerous occasions made my therapist aware of) and the way we were being massaged. I honestly do not want to write a whole book based on my experience but this is how I would review my experience - 0/10 for the following: -The whispering chattery between our therapist -The occasional single hand massage I got from my therapist (it still baffles me what the other hand was doing) - The unprofessionalism when communicating with me (at some point she even asked if I want a head massage, which was in the treatment I booked for mind you) When I got confused by the question she had so much attitude and the audacity to say to me "Maybe you don't like it that's why I am asking". As if I would book what I do not like? -The fast paced massage I don't know how many times I had to groan, moan and shuffle my body in pain before she minimised the pressure, to again apply even harder pressure the a few moments later. We had a 90min duration treatment and I was only asked once how the pressure was. I would hate for anyone to go here with the level of expectations I had for a 4.7 star rated SPA and to leave as if they were involved in a street fight. Less
