Our hotel recommended Joseph’s for dinner and we are glad they did. We had an excellent table in the bar area on the second floor with a wonderful view. We started with a watermelon feta salad that was delicious. Our mains, caprese raviolis and a seafood pasta dish were also very good. The service couldn’t be better. Incredible food, drinks and service. Great higher end restaurant for the beach area. Got the “best of both” with the 4oz steak cooked perfectly and 4oz of lobster with double vegetable. Espresso Martini was also great! Less

Me, Foo, was in OOB for the weekend and made reservations through my motel's concierge at what Foo likes, a ritzy place. "Ni hao, Foo want ritzy dinner." "Ok then sir, it's gotta be Joseph's by the Sea!" So, Foo bowed to the crossed keys of the best motel and smiled. When Foo arrived at Joseph's the hostess was so pleasant and the bartender said, "Hi Foo, I'm new here but know you from Raffles in Singapore!" "Xie, xie!" said Foo to the new bartender. Foo was brought to a wonderful table on the terrace and the view was magnificent. Foo ordered cocktails, bisque and a burger. So delish!! "Foo, would you like dessert?" asked Patti my server. "No thank you, just the check, and Foo will leave you a great huge stack of grat!" me, who is Foo excitedly exclaimed. Patty then said, "Isn't Joseph's sublime?" 2018, my best friend had terminal cancer. He and I travelled across the country from California to Old Orchard on Amtrak. We stayed nearby and walked here for dinner. The meal was the best seafood meal we had ever eaten. The service was spectacular and when the waitress found out this trip was on my buddy’s bucket list, she paid for our meal. The three of us were crying in each other’s arms. We left her a 100$ tip as she was a single mother and we knew the sacrifice she was making. My buddy passed 10 months later. lovely and yummy. retro menu with a great wine list! we had oysters on the half shelf with blueberry vodka martinis, so fresh. then moved to wine and wow. baked stuffed 🦞 lobster - delish, delish, delish.. Surf and Turf was superb, with the filet cooked perfectly. even the bread basket was yummy. sat on the patio and the view was fantastic, service was great. perfect for taking the grandparents! Less

This was my second time here in a few years and our server, Kelsey, told us there is a new chef this year who is absolutely killing it. Our food was amazing and very well thought out. My wife said it was the best ravioli she ever had and my baked haddock had unique twists. If you order the calamari there is a very peculiar pepper that they use and I'm not sure what it's called but it was unbelievable. Less
