Our stay at Barney’s Bluff was absolutely wonderful! The lake house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The views of the lake were stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind.The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of space to enjoy both indoors and outdoors. We especially loved spending time on the deck and taking in the beautiful surroundings.The host was responsive, welcoming, and made the entire experience seamless from booking to checkout. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel at home.We would highly recommend Barney’s Bluff to anyone looking for a peaceful lake retreat and would gladly stay here again in the future!

Amazing experience. Barney’ Bluff was a “home away from home”. The hosts were responsive and answered questions promptly. The house is fantastic. The location is beautiful and the hosts have added several amenities to elevate the experience. Our family enjoyed kayaking, making s’mores at the fire pit, grilling burgers and dogs, and taking the pontoon on the lake (extra fee but was well worth it). Overall, this was an A+ experience that I would recommend to anyone who wants get to get away but still feel the comforts of being home. For any pet lovers, we brought our dog and she also had a blast.

This place was amazing. The most pet friendly place I’ve ever rented. It was clean, nicely decorated, well stocked, and a great location. I could not have asked for a better place to stay.

We had a great time at Barney’s bluff and it was great for our two labs! Having the entire porch fenced off and leading into a fenced in area around the side of the house allowed them to roam freely. Everyone loved it!

We had the best time and would love to come back again! We didn’t realize it’s not only a lake house but also right in front of a bunch of adorable cows! It felt like a country get away and lake side stay all in one! So organized and such a beautiful house.

Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay. We took Tim’s great advice and booked a fishing tour. Our teen caught her first stripped bass, 35” long! Later that night, another daughter caught a huge catfish off of Tim’s boat dock, but it bent the hook and got away! The next morning our teen caught a 19” spotted bass off his dock!The house was set up well for large families or multi-generational families. The primary bedroom and kitchen could be separated from the living room, sunroom, and two bedrooms by pocket doors; which is perfect for late night teens and early morning parents or grandparents. It’s an extremely flexible layout with plenty of places for everyone to gather; and yet plenty of places for privacy. It’s very well stocked with everything you need. Very friendly hosts who were highly responsive. We had one hiccup, the AC in the sunroom stopped working properly. The hosts were very responsive, taking action quickly. It didn’t interrupt our stay much at all. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Tim's lake house. It was very nice and you could tell he want out of his way to make it feel like home and make sure we were comfortable. If we get the chance, we would absolutely stay here again.

It was exactly as advertised. The kids really enjoyed the lily pad and going on the (very nice) pontoon boat. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, dishes and utensils. We also really enjoyed the digital guide book. It very helpful and detailed. Tim was also quick to respond.

This may be my favorite AirBnb our family has ever rented! It was also our first time taking our two dogs with us on vacation, and Barney’s Bluff couldn’t have made it any easier. The home was clean, comfortable, and homey, with so many thoughtful details and supplies. The lake is spectacular and the location in the cove was exactly what we were looking for. Tim’s guestbook full of information was so helpful — we referenced it multiple times. All this to say, I’d give Barney’s Bluff six stars if I could. We look forward to returning!

This place was beautiful and very peaceful. We brought our two dogs who had the best time in their fenced in porch. Tim and his family were also very nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Tim and his family were great host communicated each evening to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything. Lived on the lake for 15 years before relocating to Florida. And will definitely be booking another stay with Tim.

I have so many good things to say about Barney’s Bluff!!! I was concerned it might not be clean since pets were allowed. But It was very clean!! The home has wonderful place for pets - fenced backyard, extra leashes, food bowls, huge enclosed backporch. Amenities for people were great also - kayak, boathouse, swimming, firepit, etc… I could just go on & on. We will be back!

Great hosts!!! They were very accommodating! Our stay had a forecast of storms, we wanted to take the pontoon out and they were very happy to make it work! 10/10 would recommend this to anyone who is seeking a pet friendly spot on smith lake!!

Tims place was great! The pups had an amazing time playing in the yard and accessing the dock easily. The place had everything needed for a lovely lake weekend.

We had an awesome time at the lake. It is secluded and peaceful. The house has everything our family of 6 and 2 dogs needed and wanted for our time away.

The home was very large, comfortable and clean. It was exactly as pictured. Amazing sunroom and living room for larger family gatherings. Great use of outdoor space and the dock was wonderful for swimming, paddling & fishing. Loved having the option to rent the boat right there! Hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Our stay was perfect. Not only is the house beautiful and clean with a great view but the host was helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We rented the boat and had a blast out on the lake. The owners really went that extra mile to ensure we had a safe and enjoyable time. The view is fantastic and the fenced in yard for our pups was a great addition to ensure their safety. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back again.

We really enjoyed our stay. There wasn’t any thing we needed that we didn’t have; fully stocked kitchen, many many towels, so many games and activities available for those rainy days. Beds were extremely comfortable. The deck and boat dock was in the best condition we have experienced in our 3 years coming to Smith Lake.

We absolutely love this place! This was our second time staying and it did not disappoint! The amenities are first class. If you forgot something at home it’s likely that it is provided for you. We love the location and privacy of the house and dock! If your looking to getaway at the lake this is the house for you!
