I had the pleasure of working with Home Care Matters for several years overseeing the care of a 100+ yr old patient. As her long time personal assistant and liaison for her, her family and her medical staff, I worked very closely with this group from HCM on a daily basis . From the moment I met Valerie I had great confidence our needs would be met by a professional and caring team, which she thoughtfully selected to suit our circumstances. The fact that they take the time to try to match the best caregivers for the person, their surroundings and situation and not just send the 'next one up' speaks volumes. It is so important for caregivers to be able to professionally, respectfully and lovingly handle the dynamics of the individual for whom they are caring. This crew did exactly that. From Valerie, to the office staff, to the caregivers on site, I could not have been more pleased. The group of caregivers we had were reliable, trustworthy and MOST importantly deeply cared for our patient. Even through several challenges. COVID, her declining health, the wishes of family vs. the patient's wishes, just to name a few. The crew hung in there with only the best interest of the patient in mind. I know they made her last few years better through their great care and concern for her. I always appreciated how willing they were to fill in for others or take on extra shifts to make sure we had two people here with her at all times. I have great appreciation for them and for those doing scheduling and billing and nursing assessments. Everyone was very responsive and genuinely concerned with doing the best job possible to meet our needs, answer any questions, handle special requests, etc. I am thankful to have worked alongside these folks for those several years. Home Care Matters made the process of setting up care for my mother so easy. I was wary of having people in the house that I did not know. I was immediately at ease because each and every caregiver that came was so professional and made me very comfortable with them. They were very kind and attentive to my mother. During her last days they sat right with her , sometimes praying with her, singing along with music we had going and just being a great presence with her. Their concern for her was genuine. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for home health care. They took care of scheduling, I just told them what I needed and caregivers were always there 24/7. The best company I have come to know. It feels like family and they are truly concerned about Clients and employees well being. During this hard time that we are facing I have not felt like I am alone in this. Best company everrrr! Abbey and Sky these two women are always there when you need them. Very caring, respectful and they go above and beyond to make sure your job and or whatever issue you may have are well takencare of. They go above and beyond for Clients needs as well never leaving them without a care giver to care for them. Only thing that would make this job absolutely perfect would be to have paid sick leave, vacation some benefits in addition, but other than that this company goes above and beyond for their Clients and the wonderful Men and Women who are employed at this company.
