I tried several caretaker companies for my elderly parents before Incredicare. They are far above all the others. It's not that we haven't sometimes had problems, but over the last few years they have been very responsive, and not only that, but I have been able to see them improve their system--they really take suggestions or complaints seriously and actually DO something about them. They try to treat each case personally. As one person from the company said to me recently, everyone's needs are different. I am a person who needs lots of good communication, and they have done extraordinarily well providing that. I am also a very picky person, especially where my parents' care is concerned. They are truly concerned about my parents' care. Our story with Incredicare: We had an excellent caretaker from them at first who met both of my parents' needs (home cooked meals, brisk walks with my father, good conversation for my mother, and diligence about potential scammers, for example), but unfortunately he moved away. Then we had a couple of different caretakers and false starts, not through any fault of the company. Then they sent our current caretaker, who is excellent, caring, reliable, trustworthy, good-natured, and conscientious, and has been with us for a long time. In a pinch, they even sent someone once from the office when our normal caretaker couldn't make it and I had to be gone. After several bad experiences with other companies and their bad and difficult communication and uncaring attitudes, I really appreciate all Incredicare has done for us.
