I had a difficult time finding a psychiatrist who was able to help our child, which is understandable due to the way his developmental disabilities present. I wish I had called Dr Wilson’s office first though because they didn’t even hesitate to say yes when I explained everything, and every single person we’ve met has been incredibly kind and welcoming. Her office staff members are truly exceptional. It doesn’t seem to bother anyone if he gets a bit loud in the waiting room or when the symptoms of his disabilities become very obvious. It’s rare to find such a welcoming, understanding, and truly inclusive office.Dr Wilson herself has been nothing short of amazing. She has an incredibly calm presence, she’s kind, and she’s empathetic. She truly listens to me, and she listens to my child- he’s nonverbal but she pays very close attention to his behavioral communication. I’ve become very accustomed over the years to having to explain my son’s diagnoses and behavior and needs to specialists over the years but because Dr Wilson is incredibly knowledgeable I have not had to do that. I never mind explaining, but it is a relief to find a doctor who doesn’t need me to. She also always takes the time to explain what she’s recommending and why, and she makes sure to answer any questions I might have.I would definitely recommend this office! They’ve all been such a blessing to our family and we’re very thankful for Dr Wilson and her staff!
