I had a facelift at the Garden City location. I am not looking to criticize the surgeon personally, as I understand that complications and less-than-ideal outcomes can occur with any surgery. What matters most is how those situations are handled afterward.Unfortunately, my facelift results were not what I had hoped for. Initially, we waited for the swelling to subside, but over time the skin began to sag again. When I returned to my surgeon, he offered me one complimentary skin-tightening treatment at the spa.I was not enthusiastic about going to the spa, as I had previously found the staff to be unfriendly and somewhat condescending. During my consultation, Tiffany, the aesthetician, attempted to sell me thread treatments and offered a discount. I was very upset and confused as to why I would need threads after already paying for a facelift. I left without receiving treatment, feeling that my time had been wasted.After I complained to my surgeon, he arranged for me to receive the skin-tightening treatment. I completed one session, which was quite painful, and the results were, at best, minimal. When I discussed my concerns with the surgeon, he informed me that I would need at least four treatments to achieve meaningful improvement.Although I was unhappy with that response, I contacted the office to schedule the additional treatments. At that point, I was told I would have to pay approximately $4,000, which was supposedly a discounted rate. After already paying a substantial amount for the facelift, I felt this was unreasonable.I contacted the surgeon again and left a message. A gentleman named Gary Blanc returned my call and informed me that I would either have to pay for the additional treatments or live with the results as they were. I asked whether a partial refund could be considered, and I was told that the practice does not provide refunds regardless of the outcome.I am sharing my experience so that others understand what happened in my case. While I recognize that surgical outcomes cannot be guaranteed, I am very disappointed with how my concerns were addressed and with the overall customer service I received from Long Island Plastic Surgical Group.
