The staff is rude and lack listening skills. Before I could even ask a general question, which is easily answered with an explanation of their process without disclosing personal information of any patient and would not violate patient privacy, the manager interupted with a recital of their HIPPA law policy, which doesn't apply to the general procedures and processes of their practice for a question that was not specifically about the patient.Their handling of the my communication was novice. Without allowing me to even ask the question, the manager jumped into the conclusion that she would need to disclose patient private information, which was not the case.Eiher way, the receptionist earned them the 2 star rating, but the manager failed in all respect since all she could do was hide behind HIPPA laws that don't cover their general protocol of procedures or steps to a claim.Edit to add that being rude is not a requirement of HIPPA, nor does it add value to protecting patient privacy. Answering a general question about your process and protocol is not part of your practice? You can't let non-pantients know what requirements you have to become patient or what happens once they are no longer patients. How do you know I am not a patient without my last name or contact information?Does it make sense that I have POA and then didn't have a copy? POA isn't required for information that is NOT patient-specific.And to my point: you don't have to be rude!!!
