Twisted Metal Collision

We came to twisted metal because they had good reviews and the auto repair shop that my husband worked at recommended them. My husband has a ram 2500 and hit a deer that went down the driver side from the front door to the bed, we called them and they got the process started the same day with our insurance. They ordered parts and we dropped the truck off, estimate repair completion was a month. For the month they had the truck we did not receive any updates and we did not bother them. We were in the area and we stopped by to see the truck and get an update on it, they were waiting for a new set of used doors because the ones they received wasn’t a good set, after a month and a half my husband called every week to get an update because we weren’t being updated about the truck. About a month an a half - two months they received the second set which also wasn’t a good set, they waited on the insurance to approve new oem doors and ordered those and the delivery date kept changing, we understand that the door issue was not their fault and they could not do anything about that!! My husband was still calling (we received one voicemail and one- two emails the whole three months they had the truck). About three months they call us and let us know the truck will be done and we went and picked it up. Upon looking at the truck we did notice a few things but wasn’t major, it was closing time by time we got there because we do live an hour away, once we got it back home, my husband looked over his truck and had a list of 15 things that was wrong with the truck that wasn’t like that before or due to the deer (they took before pictures for insurance, and we took after pictures). My husband is a mechanic and works on all of our vehicles so he does notice these types of things. I drove back the next day and spoke to John about the concerns and he was kind and understanding. We emailed over the list and pictures we took and once they got parts in and set an appointment with the tint people, we dropped the truck back off and they did fix almost everything. We do wish the communication was better and the tech was more careful with the none damaged parts but we are grateful they made it right and fixed what they could to make it look how it did before the deer hit it. We do understand that mistakes happen, and that everything is fixable but it was very disappointing in the moment. John was very kind, understanding, and patient with us through this process. This review isn’t a “don’t go here” type of review, just simply sharing our experience in hopes the communication and carelessness improves.
