I did the Opals and Lake Eyre 6day tour. Team Phil, Nick & Chris are great hosts in the air and on the ground, engaging and informing. I was able to relax and enjoy being in awe of the mighty outback. Everthing is organised with plenty of time to explore towns along the journey. Flying over the lake on different days was great. The highlight for me was the comparrisons of the wet and dry land, from above to below in the duggouts, and all inbetween. The best way to experience changes over the vast distances we covered. We have just participated in the 3 day Lake Eyre tour. It was well organised with plenty of time to take in the magnificent views. The pilot Liam,also flew us around some approaching thunderstorms skilfully. The highlight ,besides seeing a full Lake Eyre north, was seeing the Painted Hills on Anna Creek station. A truly beautiful site from the air. We look forward to doing more tours with Aviation Tours.

Flying over Lake Eyre in flood has been on our bucket list for a long time and to see the beauty of this lake by plane was an amazing sight. Our pilot Liam and tour guide, Tony were wonderful. Liam made us feel safe and Tony was very organised and went out of his way to take care of us. Both Liam and Tony deserve 5+ stars. A bonus on the trip was visiting Dirranbandi, Cubby Station, Leigh Creek, Maree, William Creek and Lightning Ridge. Thanks Aviation Tours for an unforgettable experience.

I have just finished a Lake Eyre Escape tour with Aviation Tours out of Brisbane. From pick up to put down, it was a wonderful tour. Our tour host, Tony, deserves 5+ stars for organizing us so well and with a such cheerful and friendly manner. Our pilot, Liam, also deserves 5+ stars for making us feel perfectly safe while in the air and great take-offs and landings.Lake Eyre from the air is amazing in its colours and vastness. It did not diappoint. The tour around Cubbie Station was a highlight as well from genius construction of vast gravity fed irrigation to the variety and numbers of birdlife that are found along the waterways. We also got to learn history of settlement in places like Dirranbandi, Marree, Leigh Creek, William Creek and Lightning Ridge and enjoy a warm welcome from the locals. Aviation Tours and a wide brown land for me.
