As a man that has been going to the gym regularly doing light cardio then lifting at Lifetime for the past 6/7 years. I told myself CrossFit should be a easy transition.. GUESS WHAT? It’s hard. Being a larger size man, such as myself, (most would say strikingly handsome) The guys and gals at SOPO FITNESS GERMANTOWN have been very accommodating! It’s a great place for beginners and experts!

I’ve been going to SOPO Germantown’s 30-minute strength class and it fits perfectly into my busy schedule, but still delivers an effective, challenging workout. Ryan is encouraging and knowledgeable, and the environment is positive and energizing. It makes it so much easier to stay consistent when you actually enjoy going!

My husband and I joined SOPO last July because we were looking for a gym that provides an encouraging community for any level of fitness and some kind of accountability in the gym. SOPO is exactly that! I haven't been back in a gym consistently in years. The first class I took, the instructor was patient with me. In fact, each instructor I have encountered has pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of doing and ensures that my form is strong. The workouts are challenging, yet manageable as they do a great job modifying to fit the needs of everyone. The best part is the sense of family you get being apart of these classes.

Came in intimidated, stayed because the coaching is excellent and the community is genuinely kind. It’s been awhile since I’ve been new (i.e. bad) at something in the gym, but SOPO does a great job meeting you where you are and providing judgement-free scaled options, while still pushing you to do hard things (sometimes against your will 😅). If you want to get stronger and feel supported doing it, this is the place!

Great spot for my teenage son and I to workout together. Great coaches who always start and end classes on time. A good mix of programming keeps things interesting and fun.UPDATE: I've also hit personal records in all of my core lifts since joining this gym, so the programming is effective.
