Tawny and Dr. Messerschmitt (sp) helped me through a very painful tooth fracture. They cleaned it up, got me a temporary crown and ultimately a new crown Dr. M was great, but Tawny was amazing. The office doesn’t have that terrible sterile smell and is extremely welcoming and comfortable. My hygienist was incredible and made me feel very comfortable with a weighted blanket, warm neck wrap, and even a visit from a therapy dog! Having 3 kids treated by Dr. Meggie Graham and her team, I can say I 100 percent recommend them for airway health. My oldest had a chronic stuffy nose and bags under her eyes from lack of sleep (mouth breathing at night). After palate expansion and working with a myofunctional therapist and tongue tie release with Dr. Graham, her allergies and chronic stuffy nose are significantly better and she now sleeps with her mouth in the proper position and no more bags! As a mom, this is huge! She is less cranky and more importantly I know she is receiving all the health benefits of proper sleep. After receiving education from Meggie and her team and recognizing that my other kids also had some symptoms needing to be addressed they were treated as well. Each child had a slightly different plan based on their individual needs as Dr. Graham is by no means a "one size fits all" Dr. It is an expensive and long road but I would absolutely do it again. I was able to pay in installments which made it possible. Don't cut corners with other dentists in the area that are slightly cheaper. Dr. Meggie Graham knows her stuff and she is the real deal with up to date and relevant information. Less

My journey with Dr. Graham and her team began back in 2019. I had just retired and needed a new dentist. I remember my first visit with her so well. She walked in and spoke with me for a few minutes, and then told me she thought I had a deviated septum. I was skeptical of course. I mean, I’d seen multiple dentists, doctors, and ENTs over the course of my life and had never been told that. She said she could tell by how I was breathing, by how my left nostril didn’t move when I inhaled. One of my siblings did have a deviated septum… Dr. Graham explained that having a deviated septum affected sleep (everything she said was spot on) and sleep led to a slew of health issues (I had many of them.) I made an appointment with an ENT and not only did I have a deviated septum, I also had enlarged turbinates! But the ENT told me at my age it really wouldn’t be worth it to do anything about it. (Really? I was in my mid-50s!) Back to Dr. Graham I went. She had me do a sleep study. Turned out I needed a palate expander. My tongue was too big for my mouth and was blocking my airway when I slept (did you know your tongue is supposed to be able to rest on the roof of your mouth – I didn’t). Again, no dentist in all my years had ever mentioned this to me. I’d always known my teeth were a little wiggy – I just thought it was sort of an “underbite” but only on one side of my mouth. Unfortunately, the idea of a palate expander freaked me out. It didn’t help that as a 50+ year-old, there was the possibility that the procedure might not work (unlike with 7–12-year-olds, when the procedures is supposed to be done.) So, instead we focused on my other issue – my chalklike, crumbly teeth. Turns out that several of my crowns needed to be replaced and a bunch of regular teeth had to be crowned – twelve in total. We replaced all twelve on one day – it was epic. Dr. Graham thought she might be able to fix my mouth issue with the crowns. It helped A LOT but still wasn’t as good as it good get. At this point I decided to do the palate expander – not only did it work on the first try, but it eliminated the congestion I would get at night completely. I started breathing better in general. Hoorah! Once we finished with the palate expander, we straightened my teeth with Invisalign braces and then Dr. Messerschmidt stepped in to do the final step - veneers on the top front teeth. It was almost a five-year process, but not only do I have gorgeous teeth, I have better breathing – which is HUGE. I love Dr. Graham’s whole body health approach to dentistry – it is SO important. I love how everyone is so passionate about dentistry. And I really love how friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful all the Lake Park Dental team members are. They make every patient feel important. At 59 years old. The best dentist I have ever been to, by far.If you have anxiety about going to the dentist. This is your nexus for overcoming it. I believe on a scale of 1 to 10. My anxiety is about a 9. Not just from pain, etc. Also my teeth are not the best and I feel embarrassed. Instead of judgment or silence. I received understanding and empathy. Throughout the procedure, my pain was constantly their first concern. I was given multiple additional shots, as they said, but it turns out my canine was a "hot" tooth. The chair massaged me, and Amber brought me a glass of water and a heated neck wrap. She even brought my wife back, who was waiting in the lobby; while I was getting numb. She was a very proactive and thoughtful assistant. Doctor Cook was a complete professional, and her chair side manner was top shelf. This dental office is set apart from the rest and above them all, in it's own league. If you are on the fence and putting off going to the dentist because of anxiety.Take my advice and call them, and you will thank them like I did !March 11 2024 update: I am completely taken care of, and all work on my mouth is complete !I had multiple extractions, tissue grafting, and denture fitting and molding. Dr. Graham arranged 2 different specialists to come to her office and work on me in her chair. All of her equipment is state of the art and can see why they would agree to come there. You always have to go to the specialists. Not with Dr. Graham. My ability and willingness to get all of this work done came from having it done by her, at her dental office.So she arranged to bring in an extraction specialist and a denture specialist. Both of them acted and performed the work like total professionals in their fields. Dr. Graham was convinced by the extraction specialist that I needed tissue grafted to an area in my lower jaw. He did it right away, and while it was not fun for me, it has paid off now as I have the best possible fitting lower denture in the world. I use a bonding product about 25% of the time. They fit that good. The carefully made 3D computer model of my entire mouth and the denture specialist get as much credit for it. But that graft was clearly key. Dr. Graham cared for me like I was her brother. I have never dealt with anyone in my life better than her for any type of service. Everyone who works there has a like mindedness about the Dr.s mission. Very friendly as well. If you need to get your mouth straight 💯 %. Go there and give her a chance to show you what she can do. The receptionist I contacted to make my first appointment was wonderful and even managed to call me back and get me seen within less than a week when someone cancelled. The staff were lovey. I absolutely love Lake Park Dental and Dr. Graham. She’s not your typical dentist- she cares about the entire patient and your quality of life. She will find the root problem and refer you to people that can help in other areas whether it be sleep issues, breathing issues, muscular issues in your jaw or neck, tongue tie.. I’ve been her patient for 6 years. I used to have chronic migraines and muscle tightness in my neck, turns out I had a posterior tongue tie- I had it released with Dr. Graham and Untethered, and that was the end of my migraines and tension. I just thought that was the way life was for me! I could go on with how much Dr. Graham has helped me - her dentistry practice is top notch with always the best technology and she’s dedicated to continuing education. Same with her Untethered practice. My infant also had a tongue tie released by Dr. Graham and she was able to breastfeed and gain weight appropriately.
