I have had the privilege of volunteering a few times with Yesterdays Gone. And they are simply a remarkable group of women. The owner and founder Loree is the strongest, smartest, most headstrong woman I know. She cares so deeply for these women and their children. You can tell how genuine and personal this organization is to her. She is extremely devoted and professional, and everything she does is for the betterment of the women and children on her property.Yoko, is another resilient, headstrong, and passionate woman. She handles the women and their children with grace and patience, and helps them towards accomplishing their goals. She is also hilarious and always has a smile on her face.My personal favorite of the ladies that work there is Angela. She is a creative, beautiful, talented individual who is always smiling, high energy, and engaging personality to be around. Whenever you’re around her, you’ll know. Her sense of humor and smile are contagious.Beth is another newer face I’ve had the privilege of getting to know. She is the most optimistic, enthusiastic, and sweet person I think I’ve ever met. She is so wise beyond her years, and has impressed me ever since I’ve met her.I also know Yesterdays Gone has countless volunteers who are as dedicated as the 3 women I mentioned above. They all work together to bring harmony, peace, and a sense of belonging to these women who have struggled in the past. It’s truly an incredible organization where everyone who works, or volunteers there, does it because they want to be there, and because they want to help these women achieve their goals, and live a long and meaningful life not only for their children, but also for themselves.
