We were assigned this company through Citizens Insurance rights to repair program, and Mike, the estimater was a pleasure to work with. Joel, the boss at first was pleasant and communicative too, but upon arriving for the measurement appointment, he turned cold and went back on his word to what he initially agreed to. He was saying that going with a company he's not associated with, like Kraftmaid at Lowes, or Thomasville at Home Depot - very reputable, affordable companies - will not get as much of a cut (since contractors save a lot more when they use companies they have a contract with). They did say that those companies were fine to use as long as they meet the rigorous requirements, which they did. After spending about 25 hours going back and forth to Home Depot and Lowes, mapping everything out - we got every discount possible (45% off!), one of the cabinets free, and cut out on 3 of our cabinets just so we can have a good quality and reliable company. After all this time, energy, and work we invested, he ended up telling us we can't use Kraftmaid and we have to go along with his company. He then said he plans to go with a company called Designers Choice, (where their last 5 star review was a year ago with majority 1 star reviews). Joel completely mislead us, and caused us to significantly delay our time sensitive project because he claimed he 'wouldn't get as much of a cut' going with Lowes and he 'can't control the process'. We tried to work it out with him but he became very stubborn and was not willing to budge, even when we offered to pay the difference. He caused us much distress, leaving us with a lot of problems, and leaving us back at square one. We recommend finding a company that will look out for and consider you too!
