Jimmy Cavanaugh and his MNemonic Design has worked on our house at least three times, maybe four. We keep hiring them as the need arises because they are meticulous, friendly, and scrupulous about getting the work done carefully and on time. They've done both interior (our kitchen) and exterior (the siding of our house and our screen porch) and are great at both. We will have more painting needs next year and they are the only ones we will call. When they painted the kitchen (walls and ceiling) he realized that the ceiling needed skim coating, which took a little longer and cost him a little more, but he stuck to his original bid. It was more important to him to get the job done RIGHT than to cut corners.

Jimmy and his crew did an exceptional job painting the exterior of my house and garage. My garage is clapboard and the paint was peeling badly on two sides, so there was a lot of prep work involved — it looks gorgeous now. I have an old house, and the lines are crisp and clean throughout.Jimmy also did some carpentry while he was here, rebuilding my back door frame and replacing rotted shingles on the dormers. Anytime I had a question or concern, he responded quickly and always followed through. The crew was conscientious about keeping the site clean and everything was put back in order on the last day. When I found one small issue after the job wrapped, Jimmy was quick to arrange a fix — that says a lot about how he runs his business. The level of care and attention to detail was impressive from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Professional and understanding. We had a tight timeline for our privacy fence to be cleaned and stained as well as navigating around another vendor’s timeline and an overzealous neighbor. Jim, the company’s owner handled everything with consideration for us and his employees. The fence is beautiful! We are happy!Note - Mnemonics wallpapering skills are second to none.

Jimmy and team repaired 10+ window sills that were in bad shape from condensation dripping down over the years. They sanded down the damaged areas and stained them to match the rest. In addition, they fixed up our front door that had been damaged from sun and elements - see picture. And we also had them spiff up some bathroom vanity drawers and trim that were badly faded and worn out. They were meticulous about the work - we have very high standards and Jimmy met them. He is also super friendly, communicated well and was considerate about where and when he worked in different areas of the house. Highly recommend!

Jimmy is truly the best! We found him on a recommendation from our realtor, and he was so great to work with. He and his team replaced all the trim in our upstairs and painted oak trim and 11 doors white for us. Jimmy was friendly, honest, communicative and just a nice person to interact with. His crew was respectful and the whole process was great. I’ve done a lot of DIY painting but I now understand why it’s worth paying a professional - they really have expertise your average joe doesn’t have, and for trim work it was absolutely worth it. So happy with the results :) I really recommend Jimmy and his team if you need high quality painting projects.

Jimmy and his team at MNemonic Design did an absolutely fantastic job repainting our kitchen (walls, trim, ceilings + window repairs!) He stuck to his estimated time frame to finish the project and provided a reasonable quote which he stayed true to. He completely transformed our kitchen from glossy black cabinets with grey walls to bright white and full of light! The paint on the cabinets is so polished - they clearly did a great job sanding/prepping. We have been living in it for several weeks since and can only say it gets better and better! We will absolutely be working with his team again for future painting needs. Thank you Jimmy + team!! (Before then after photos below!)
