I really cannot express enough how much I love MamboLab. The quality of instruction is phenomenal. There are real “Lydia Grant” of FAME opening monologue vibes (for those who know the reference), but I mean that in the best way. I feel like I am not just taking class, but that I am being trained by the very best. Also, I have to mention how welcoming the environment is. A studio ethos of collaboration and genuine mutual support is apparent. This is a special place.

Fun class. I felt challenged but also able to do the moves. The instructor was energetic. I appreciated the instructor checking in frequently with everyone and making sure that everyone's questions were answered before moving on.

My partner and I signed up for the 4-week challenge at Mambolab. I am not a big dancer, but I have taken several of the free lessons offered in the Philly area. I've learned more in my two lessons so far at Mambolab than all of the other lessons combined, and I feel more confident to be able to use what I've learned while I am out. Our instructor Luke was great; he was welcoming and created an environment that was inclusive of people brand new to dancing while not going too slow for the people who had a little background already.

I've been taking Luke's salsa class to learn the basics and build up my confidence, and it's honestly been a great experience. Luke is a really nice instructor, patient and easy to learn from, even when you're starting from zero. What surprised me the most is how many other guys are in the class. I expected to be one of the few, but it's actually a really welcoming space for men who are just starting out and still working on their foundation. No pressure, no judgment, just people there to learn. He also rotates partners throughout class, which helps a lot since you get to practice with different people and really pick up his steps. Solid class if you're a guy nervous about starting salsa, you're not alone here.

Luke is an amazing salsa instructor! He's incredibly nice and makes everyone feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. What I really appreciate is how he talks about the leader respecting the follower's space — it's a small thing but it makes such a difference in how the dance actually feels. He also rotates partners throughout class so everyone gets a chance to work with him and really see his steps up close. My partner and I drive an hour to get here because it's genuinely worth it — this is one of the few classes that's truly focused on salsa/Latin style, not a watered-down mix. Highly recommend if you're serious about learning!

Whether you're just starting out, or you're ready to level up your dancing, Mambolab is a great option! The instructors are knowledgeable, and make learning fun. The class levels are clearly structured, so it's easy to find the right fit and continue progressing. The atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging, and I always leave class having learned something new. I highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants to learn and grow as a dancer!
