My son first connected with Cassidy November 2023 and worked with him throughout the next almost 2 years. Initially my son was really in his head about hockey and points and performance - Cassidy had my son do the baseline survey and then met with him and then again a couple of days later and quite honestly, the next game my son played - he felt and played completely differently (the quiz, meetings and game all happened within likely 5 days). My son came off the ice and said he thought that was the best he had played that season and felt good on the ice - to note, his team actually lost that game, but my son felt great and was able to appraise his play with a more levelled approach. From that moment on, for the rest of the season, my son had a different presence on the ice and was really enjoying playing again. Fast forward to the 24/25 season - again a bit of a rockier start, for different reasons, but again, struggling a bit to feel good again on the ice, to have the presence he knew he could have, to get out of his head and just "be" on the ice. Cassidy got back to some basics with my son, also brought in aspects of ACT, which really resonated and my son again found his way. Cassidy has been responsive to my son, meeting him where he is at, having analogies that really spoke to my son. Although the CEP mindset approach has a formula or method, Cassidy would individualize this to make it meaningful and "stick" with my son. In the world of semi/professional sport there are some overarching themes and Cassidy has taken these and built a mindset that can really support athletes in moving out of their heads and back to the enjoyment in the game, getting away from outcome and focusing on process or "being" - this approach has really supported my son's play and development and some of what he has learned can even be applied outside of the rink. When he would make mistakes on the field or the game wasn’t going the way he wanted, his anger and frustration would mentally take him out of the game and he would feel bad about himself afterwards. We would try to talk to him about these issues after games, give him advice, try to help, etc. Nothing made a difference, and he's probably sick of hearing us lecture him to “try harder!” So we were at a loss. We could see that our son had some real skill and enjoyed being a part of his team, but his brain seemed to get in the way of his ability. This translated to poor performance on the field and dwindling playing time. We hoped that by having him talk with a mindset coach that they could help him with strategies to overcome his fears, and that he would actually listen to this person because it wasn’t his annoying parents! Probably the biggest thing she has helped our son with is self-awareness. He is now more in-tune with when his mental game is holding him back and has tools to overcome it. She had him assess himself after each game according to the different mental metrics they were working to improve, and then they would go over it together in their next session. I believe this constant “forced self-reflection” was a game changer for him. Over the course of the season, we’ve watched him handle game-stress better and be less afraid to play hard or make mistakes. He's playing harder, more consistently, than he ever has. He ends more games proud of himself instead of beating himself up. It’s not perfect every game, but much improved. Emilie herself is a gem and a perfect match for our son. She is super positive, super friendly, and our son (who is known to forget his lunch at school, his homework, etc.) never forgot when he had a session with Emilie. Less

He was really struggling with confidence and negative emotions at times that resulted in him having a hard time letting go of what he felt was a bad goal or something he felt he should have done better. We would notice when he was like this that he would struggle to stay composed and his focus on the things in the game that he could control was getting outweighed by his emotions and his unwillingness to move off of what had happened. Since working with Gabe once a week, my son has found a new level of confidence and belief in himself and his abilities. He now has a pregame routine, he visualizes what he wants to achieve and has developed an alter ego when he steps on the ice, resulting in him unlocking his best self. He has learned to reset and refocus when things aren’t going his way. He has become more focused on the process and less focused on the pressure of results. Having a plan that he has developed together with Gabe has made a big difference in a short time and it’s exciting to think that he is still in the early stages of this process. My son’s confidence has grown both on and off the ice and we couldn’t thank Gabe enough. My high-school aged daughter did a CEP Mindset training for 6 months - the results speak for themselves. She went from struggling with confidence and snowballing to knowing how to best handle situations when things don't go your way, when it's time to reset, and when to think bigger picture. She's an extremely competitive person, her sport is gymnastics and she is constantly being measured up against the best of the best so being able to have an outlet for her to learn more about herself and to talk with someone else was huge for her. Perfection in the sport is the ultimate goal, which isn't always realistic. She talked with Natasha every week and she learned so many strategies around how to be mental tough, how to cope, and how to not put too much pressure on herself. Another major perk was that Natasha was super cooperative with my daughter's tight schedule and so easy to work with - all of the meetings were virtual which was an added bonus for us and gave us some time back in our day as opposed to driving to and from a place! During the sessions, I was able to give attention to mental challenges because of the supportive environment she created in our meetings. Sara taught me many things including the 3\4 attack mindset, smell the flowers then blow the bubbles and how to not get frustrated as much. In addition, Sara gave me realistic tools that I needed for stress management, focus, and self-doubt which helped in my development as an athlete. I have become more resilient and mentally stronger because of her coaching. Now, I am better provided to handle the pressure that comes with the highest level of hockey for my age. She made me realize that scoring goals and winning games isn’t all about hockey but improving myself and being a leader is what’s most important. I've been working with Steve for about 8 months now. I've never used a mental performance coach and initially I had some reservations regarding their effectiveness. It's always difficult to evaluate something that you can't measure using conventional methods. Steve was great in guiding me through the process and exercises to adjust and develop my mindset - as well as being a sounding board as I navigated some of the concepts. Also I started to recognize the mindset being taught was the same as top athletes in various sports. It's like once you see it you can't un-see it. Recognizing it is one thing but being able to apply these concepts consistently takes a lot of effort and practice. Through working with Steve a lot of the fears and anxieties I had while playing have been eliminated or reduced where they don't have the same negative impact. I've spent years working with different coaches on fundamentals and mechanics and while they are important I found I had hit a plateau the past few years. Working on the mental part of my game with Steve has helped me achieve a meaningful break through. Based on the numbers I have raised the level of my game with significant measurable improvement. Working with Steve on my mindset has had the greatest overall impact to my game in terms of improving and performing consistently. Less

As an elite athlete competing at the National level we all know that there will be highs and lows however how an athlete deals with them determines how they ultimately progress. Before she began working with you and learning about the CEP mindset in situations where she did not perform at the level she expected of herself she was extremely hard on herself. Also she often looked to others for validation about her performance. This was holding her back from reaching that next level. Since joining your program and focusing on her mindset her focus has shifted away from being results focused to being process focused. This has allowed her to try new things to improve at volleyball without the fear of failing or being judged by others ultimately allowing her to reach new levels in her sport. Natasha has always made my daughter feel like a priority and the CEP sessions have been an intergal part of my daughter’s progress this season. Gabe has been a critical part of my hockey goalie's success in his first year at the AAA level. He struggled most with his mindset at practice.
