I am 12 years old and I have been playing AAA hockey for the last 4 years. Last season I was on a team that did very well but I spent most of the season watching my teammates from the bench. To help with my self-confidence on the ice, we decided that I would also work with a mental performance coach for the year.For the last six months, my sports mental performance coach, Sara has positively impacted both my mindset and overall performance. During the sessions, I was able to give attention to mental challenges because of the supportive environment she created in our meetings. Sara taught me many things including the 3\4 attack mindset, smell the flowers then blow the bubbles and how to not get frustrated as much. In addition, Sara gave me realistic tools that I needed for stress management, focus, and self-doubt which helped in my development as an athlete. I have become more resilient and mentally stronger because of her coaching. Now, I am better provided to handle the pressure that comes with the highest level of hockey for my age. She made me realize that scoring goals and winning games isn’t all about hockey but improving myself and being a leader is what’s most important. I've been working with Steve for about 8 months now. I've never used a mental performance coach and initially I had some reservations regarding their effectiveness. It's always difficult to evaluate something that you can't measure using conventional methods. Steve was great in guiding me through the process and exercises to adjust and develop my mindset - as well as being a sounding board as I navigated some of the concepts. Also I started to recognize the mindset being taught was the same as top athletes in various sports. It's like once you see it you can't un-see it. Recognizing it is one thing but being able to apply these concepts consistently takes a lot of effort and practice. Through working with Steve a lot of the fears and anxieties I had while playing have been eliminated or reduced where they don't have the same negative impact. I've spent years working with different coaches on fundamentals and mechanics and while they are important I found I had hit a plateau the past few years. Working on the mental part of my game with Steve has helped me achieve a meaningful break through. Based on the numbers I have raised the level of my game with significant measurable improvement. Working with Steve on my mindset has had the greatest overall impact to my game in terms of improving and performing consistently. Less

As an elite athlete competing at the National level we all know that there will be highs and lows however how an athlete deals with them determines how they ultimately progress. Before she began working with you and learning about the CEP mindset in situations where she did not perform at the level she expected of herself she was extremely hard on herself. Also she often looked to others for validation about her performance. This was holding her back from reaching that next level. Since joining your program and focusing on her mindset her focus has shifted away from being results focused to being process focused. This has allowed her to try new things to improve at volleyball without the fear of failing or being judged by others ultimately allowing her to reach new levels in her sport. My daughter just finished her climbing season, which ended up being very successful. She qualified for Nationals, and finished in the top 20 in the country. Her coaches told her she was the most improved this season, and they recognized her hard work on her mindset. My daughter was dedicated to her CEP sessions, and the reason she was excited to have her sessions was because of the dedication of Natasha. Natasha has always made my daughter feel like a priority and the CEP sessions have been an intergal part of my daughter’s progress this season. Natasha has helped my daughter focus on her love of the sport, not the outcomes. This shift in focus has helped my daughter relax during competition and appreciate what she is doing, consequently the results have fallen into place for her. From starting these meetings I’ve noticed I put less pressure on myself and I’m letting go of little mistakes easier. I can also use everything sara teaches me outside of sports too and I feel like a better person now since I’ve started these meetings.
