HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wanted to replace our custom-size inside balcony door (not storm door), but didn’t know where to turn…. I then stumbled on Mikita Doors online. Called, drove to visit their store, ordered a door — all in the same day. I loved the idea of a long-time, family-run business. The dad Mike came to measure a few days later. I just had a beautiful new door (white, 3/4 glass, satin hardware) expertly installed this morning (and no mess left behind) The whole process took only three weeks exactly, start to finish! Wow!

I would highly recommend Mikita to anyone in need of doors or windows. Great to work with, excellent quality, and highly professional installation at a fair price. I worked with them to replace an aging builder-grade French patio door. I was looking for a higher quality product and installation than what I could get from one of the big box retailers, but after receiving a very expensive quote from one of the well known national door companies I turned to Mikita. They were able to install a custom built Pro Via unit within 30 days of initial outreach at a much more competitive cost. The fit and finish of the door and the workmanship of the installation are both great. The Nocellas were excellent to work with throughout the process and the installation team was highly professional and left the house spotless. I’d happily work with them again or recommend them to anyone.

We had an old white storm door with shabby trim - we wanted something different. We ordered a pretty blue storm door to match our mailbox and interior door. Mikita did a great job and in particular covered all the white old trim beautifully. There is a minor issue with the weather stripping and Mikita ordered a new glass with no problem.

From the initial quote through installation of our sliding glass doors, the whole process moved smoothly and without any hassle. They gave us a quick, reasonable estimate and the actual installation was straightforward and efficient. The crew made it easy from start to finish, and we're really satisfied with how everything turned out.

Provia door installation was handled expertly from putting together the order details, timely scheduling of installation, and expert craftsmanship in the installation. The finished door and its components were all excellent.

Our front entrance had a persistent water leak that the previous door couldn't solve, so I decided to have it replaced and called the local shop. The owners took time to understand my concerns and explained how they'd properly remove the old frame and rebuild the opening to prevent any future water damage. The technician arrived early and worked nearly seven hours installing the new door while carefully protecting my door cameras and alarm system, leaving everything in perfect working condition. Living locally, I always prefer supporting businesses in my community, and they proved why that matters.

Mikita is the way to go. I needed a new front door and a new screen door for the side. I have a Tudor, so we wanted something more modern but would keep the charm. Mikita nailed it! (This is the Signet 430 in Coffee Bean and we got the Spectrum Full View for the side door.) Mikita knows what they are talking about - they are detail oriented, they do not try to up-sell you, and they have pride in their work. I went to a few other places, and no one else knew as much or had as much enthusiasm as Mikitia. I ask a lot of questions, and they had all the patience for me! They also use their own installers, so they take their time and get all the details right. 100% recommend.

Hi, I purchased two exterior fiberglass ProVia doors from Makita doors and windows of Long Island. The showroom is great and has a huge variety of doors to choose from. Mike did a great job helping me make a decision on what doors and design to get. I end up buying a full decorated symphony glass for the front door and a half glass with the same design for the back door. After a minor setback with the installation, they were able to make it right. I’m glad that I decided to get the doors from Makita doors and windows because my house now looks great.

Professional, Clean, and Beautiful Work!Absolute professionals! We had our entry door and several windows replaced by Mikita Door & Window. Their Freeport showroom helped us pick out exactly what we wanted, and the installation process was seamless. No subcontractors—just a skilled, respectful team that left our house spotless when they were done. The new ProVia door completely changed our home’s curb appeal. Don't look anywhere else on Long Island; these guys are the best!

Mikita Door and Window made my home improvement project seamless from beginning to end—the team knew exactly what they were doing with both my new doors and windows, explaining each step clearly so I understood what was happening. The installation work itself was outstanding, and now that everything is in place, my doors and windows look fantastic and function perfectly. They took what could have been a stressful process and turned it into a straightforward experience, which is exactly what you want when bringing professionals into your home.

Well, it has been over 3 years since Mikita replaced the glass in 9 Anderson double pane gas casement windows and installed a Provia Steel Front Door. After the door install was completed, we had them come back and replace the living room bow window center pane. All windows used Provia replacement glass. The front door still closes beautifully and no more frost between the window panes in winter time. A couple of issues had to be corrected with the front door. It took a couple of months to get the replacement glass from Provia for the front door side panel. Provia does make a superior product. Mikita took care of them in a timely manner. Now I can happily say, without reservation, Great Job. Anyone in Freeport who lives on the water knows how wicked the wind is and winters are. It was our first time using them. My wife and I were very pleased with the friendly and professional service. I highly recommend them and would use them again. Thanks to all the guys involved. Ed & Peg
