I want to start by saying I genuinely love my nails and the quality of work at Milano.My concern is the pricing.Last visit, I had a full soak-off, a brand-new set, and black French tips for about $90, which felt fair.This time, I came in for a simple fill due to lifting and natural nail growth, with no change in shape or design. I was quoted $70—only about $20 less than a brand-new set. I was also charged for reshaping (even though I kept the exact same shape) and a $25 nail art fee for simple black French tips.At that point, the total was nearly the same as getting a brand-new set.I ended up switching to regular polish instead, which brought the total to around $50—much closer to what I expected a fill to cost.I’ve recommended Milano to others and have left great reviews in the past because I truly like the quality of the work. I just hope the pricing becomes more consistent because this experience honestly didn’t feel fair.

This was my first experience with Milano Nail Spa in Humble. I requested an express manicure with gel polish (no extensions no add-ons) and a lavender pedicure with gel polish (acrylic extension only on the big toes no other add-ons). While the customer service from the front and my nail techs was good, the polish applied was thin and began lifting just a few days after my service. Although the spa offers a complimentary nail repair within 7 days after service, I could not take advantage of this offer as I was traveling out of state. They offer a complimentary beverage which is nice but the moscato I received tasted flat/bitter.The lavender pedicure was not enjoyable as my pedicure technician was constantly visibly distracted and didn’t seem to put much energy into the scrub nor into the massage, she did however have energy as she talked and laughed with coworkers during the entire service. The manicure technician was not as distracted and she seemed to do her best.In the past when I’ve done gel manicures and pedicures, they at least last 9-11 days before chipping and the technician will file the nails to shape the finger automatically (this time around, I had to ask for them to be filed a certain way and a couple fingernails were still crooked.Maybe this is a spa where you should request a specific technician so that you can guarantee you get your money’s worth. This was for my birthday which was that day so I wish the quality was better. I still tipped a generous 30% but I will not return for service.
